Wow! I have been working with Word for years, but never knew it could do a Table of Contents so easily and fast! I will definitely be using this with my own research notes. Thank you Connie! That's awesome!

When I started on this journey I was anxious to populate my tree. Keeping good notes was good advice that I didn't heed. Inevitably you will have errors in your tree or you will see errors in other trees. Without good notes you will find yourself retracing your steps unnecessarily. Connie, great content as usual!👏

I use the notes section especially when I go into my Royal Ancestry. I cut and paste biographies from Wikipedia, I use previous research notes from Douglas Richardson and the Charles Cawley medieval land database so I can evaluate the evidence later

When using the Table of Contents to move to a certain section of the document (by clicking the header), how do you get the document to do the reverse (instead of having to scroll back up to the top)? Using an example in the video, clicking 1919 in the Table of Contents takes us to the 1919 section within the body of the document. How can you create a one-click option (such as clicking on the 1919) that will take you directly back to the Table of Contents (without having to scroll with the mouse)?

Good question. I just tried it and discovered that if you hold the CTRL key down and hit the Home button on your keyboard, it will take you back to the TOC.
