Get a headband/sweatband, durag, bandana or whatever to wear under the headset while working out. This will keep the Oculus from touching your sweaty face. Also you can use wristbands on your arms to keep sweat from running down to your hands and controllers. Last thing use a fan right in front of you while playing to keep you cool and not sweat so much.

I know exactly how you feel. I spent 23 hours trying to call an airline to reschedule my wife flight (she's stuck in Thailand). I lost my temper when I got cut off again and threw my phone, it bounced on the desk and broke my MacBook screen....Pretty dumb move by me. Easy to lose it in the current situations. On the keytop don't feel too discourage as they can be a pain to put back on. There are tiny plastic clips and a metal bar which has to be set just in the right way for the key cap to fit when placing back on. Sometimes the inner plastic pieces will come out of place and have to be adjusted back into their correct position. There are also times where one of the plastic clips get broken and in that case will need to get those parts either ordered or from another similar keyboard not in use anymore. Even I who work on laptops at times get frustrated when trying to get some of the key caps back in place when they come off. Lot of placing the key cap back on correctly comes from which direction you are trying to mount the key cap back onto the keyboard area as does make a difference with some keyboards. looking at your video, maybe once a few drinks have been enjoyed it will be easier to re-install the key cap or at least won't be as frustrating if doesn't go on correctly. Best of luck with the repair. Just give me a shout if there anything I can do to help. I’ve had the keyboard issue before. The back pin bar things can be taken out. Take one out, and clip it into the back of the key, then slot the ends of it back into the keyboard itself. Then just press the key down so it clips onto the other pin bar. The pin bars are the two silver metal pins, kind like the ones that you would expect on the back of war medals, but they slot into the middle of where the key goes. Not sure if I’m making sense, but I hope so.

damn i’ve ran into problems like this. GoPro’s are notorious of being unable to push out of those plastic squeeze mounts especially when using 3rd party accessories-one time i tried super hard to push out the mount and when i finally did it, it scrapped my lower hand at my thumb and i had a scar for about 2 years.

If your MacBook is within a certain year models that have an issue with the butterfly key switches. Apple has said that they are aware of issues with the butterfly switch keys. All of these specific models the in store rep told me is covered for up to 5 years of repairs from the manufactured date of the model. I have brought a few Apple MacBooks back to the Apple Store with keyboard issues and they have repaired it for free, but the quote and how they do it is really crazy and you have to check it in and leave with them for about a week. Just for one key that they can't repair in the moment they have to replace the whole top case and it was quoted for $450-$500, but marked down to zero by Apple cause of the butterfly key switches. But with the liquid damage to your screen, repairs on just that is usually average $450 and up that I've seen Apple quote. Good luck Gene

Just leave it in a bag of rice for a week and the water from the screen should be out. Worked for my iPad Pro! Don‘t use the hot air as it will likely leave some salt residue.

Hey Gene, I haven't finished the video so I don't know if you fixed it, but there's a little silver bar that can swivel, there's usually a clip on the shift key that you need to put that bar into, hopefully that makes sense, good luck!

Hey Gene I've been doing something very similar to what you're doing with VR workouts with a rift s. I highly recommend a weighted vest ( I use a 16 pound one) and it's very comfortable and will contribute greatly to your workouts.

Gene! I feel your pain, we were shooting stills and vid of a house and were told that the water was off in the whole house. While shooting the bathroom in the pool house... I set the laptop, with a half day's of work in it, on the sink and the auto sink came on right on top of the laptop! I shut it off and held it at the opposite angle of the hardrive! We lost the computer, but saved the HD and had to migrate it onto the new one, that we had to go and buy right then, since we had to finish the job...we drank a lot of whiskey that night! (BTW what whiskey do you enjoy?)

Once I had the problem ...water got inside the keyboard ...I immediately turned the laptop and shake it upside down without closing the lid...then put it in a airtight polythene carrybag with some silica gel packets. Several hours later it soaked the humidity and I found the laptop working fine...

Check if the mechanism is good, there should be two pieces, check if they are holding together, and check the clips(there might be clips that are C shaped, make sure they go into it well). I don't have a scissor switch macbook pro, but it should be fairly easy. And if that didn't work, try to clip that cap back while raising up one side of the mechanism using some toothpick

Same thing happened to me. I had the 16inch MacBook Pro with 8tbs and in the first week I spilt a green smoothie on it. One of my keyboard keys had the same problem afterwards. Luckily, I was able to buy AppleCare post the spill because the MacBook still worked (like yours) and I got it replaced for a minor fee. Much better than buying a new one at full price. You might want to get AppleCare ASAP. 🙉

Drying it up too hot/fast can potentially damage it worse. Normal heating is enough, like a radiator on top of it. If the water hit sensitive parts its too late mostly anyways. Kind of ironic that it has no spill resistant keyboard/design considering its all Unibody/Metal Chassis and glued together (battery)...not even mentioning all the evil practices and pricing of this Fruit Company.
