Great video I didn’t know there was a kit like this. You are very knowledgeable with this Generator. I know you’re very busy Guy is wondering if you could answer a question for me on my 300i. When I try to run anything on this generator, it does not wrap up a little bit and the red light comes on and it bugs right down but if I manually rub the engine up just a little bit it works just fine. My question is that little step motor does not seem to be revving it up at all. So I took it off and tried to turn it by hand and it turns pretty hard. Could this be my problem thank you in advance. Hope to hear from you. Joe

These generators except for Honda and Yamaha are all made in China which reflects the price you've purchased. From the sounds of it this issue you have is common with ignition module failure or inverter failure. Cheapest way to fix these is to buy another generator but this time with the purchase of an extended warranty. It's more money you will have to spend on a Chinese made generator, but its still cheaper than a Honda.

The best and thorough installation vid ever, thanks for sharing. Is this conversion kit fits the Firman W01682 2000 inverter generator?
@GrenergyTriFuel Жыл бұрын
Hi Sean, glad you liked the video. The 2000w Firman generator is different. We produce generator specific kits and each kit is completely different for each generator. But later in the next few months we hope to have a kit for that generator as well.

Great comprehensive install video. However, where’s the start up? Did I miss it.

Hi Len, once the weather is nicer outside we'll do a video of it running. But you can trust that the generator does run well just like our other kits.

@@GrenergyTriFuel That’s great! I ordered mine for our new 3300i. From what I’ve watched from other manufacturers your kit clearly rivals any of the kits that I’ve seen cosmetically. Thanks
@GrenergyTriFuel Жыл бұрын
Much of kits out in the market are mostly “one fits all” but in reality each generator besides the engine, are slightly different. A proper conversion kit is needs to be generator specific for that make and model. That’s the right way of doing it. Thank you for your order!

Can I remove the high pressure regulator and connect the demand regulator to my RV which already has a regulator to reduce the high propane tank pressure?

What magnetic oil dip stick fits the Generac 3300i? Can you still use a parallel kit with this conversion?
@GrenergyTriFuel Жыл бұрын
Hi Theresa, the EU2000i dipstick should fit this generator. And yes you can still parallel this generator with another generator. There is no reason why you can’t.

Am I correct in thinking this would work on a craftsman 3300i also?
@GrenergyTriFuel11 ай бұрын
At the moment the Craftsman 3300i has a different outer case than the GP3300i. Because of this the kit wont work unfortunately.

This generator should be enough to run your fridge, some small lights, internet and tv. If you want AC you will need a bigger genset.

If you like to fix things yourself, then buy an open frame style generator, because it does not require a complete teardown just to replace a broken pull rope. If you buy cheap Chinese, then take this guys advice and buy the 3 year warranty. I read good things about Harbor Freight units.

Great idea for generator conversion. However, for about another $300, you can buy a duel fuel Firman 3K watt inverter generator from Costco for everything and not have to do any conversion. If the conversion kit was more cost effective, it might be worth the trouble. Of course the Firman is not set up for natural gas.
@GrenergyTriFuel Жыл бұрын
Thanks for the feedback. If your firman generator fails, customer support from that company is extremely poor. They are not known to have good reputation for reliability or support. Once in a while customers reach out to me asking if they can have me build a replacement regulator assembly for their failed dual fuel generator, either the manufacturer doesn’t sell the part, or the replacement part costs almost just as much as buying a new generator. You can buy a conversion kit for less than $150 dollars on eBay. But I’m not here to sell junk, I’m a tool guy and I like quality, so are the conversation kits I build. They are made to outlast the generator and should never fail especially during a natural disaster when reliability is extremely important. Check out the video link below to see a failed regulator from a dual fuel Champion generator. kzbin.info/www/bejne/qqrOnqGtpLSqqdU I rather pay more for less headache, I’m too old and too tired to be fixing stuff every other day.

@@GrenergyTriFuel Take a look at the feedback comments for Firman generators sold on Costco's website. Their ratings are very high and there are many people who have contacted their customer support and rave how quickly they respond. The proof is in the reviews and contradicts what you've said. 4.3 out of 5 in 233 reviews.
@GrenergyTriFuel Жыл бұрын
Sure, but that doesn’t completely negate customers who’s been reaching out to me with their own experience. Also Costco has better customer support than Firman. If there are issues, no need to call Firman, just bring it back to Costco and they’ll refund you. The ratings are due to Costco’s customer service, not of Firman. Reading the reviews of the Firman 3200 on Costco’s website proves most of the satisfied customer help was mainly from Costco rather than Firman. Already I see one review stating a customer was put on hold for two hours and was never able to get through even leaving a voice mail. Never called back. I’m not seeing how these raving reviews can be high on this company compared to Harbor Freight who has much better customer service. If your going to buy a Chinese made generator, spend a little more to buy it from Champion, Duromax, or Harbor Freight. At least their customer service is much better than Firman. kzbin.info/www/bejne/i3a0YZqPfbVkaLc

@@GrenergyTriFuel You need to read the reviews, which obvious you have not bothered to do, they are calling Firman for their technical issues, not Costco. Not all dual or tri fueled generators don't have problems as you have eluded to. I have a Winco tri fueled generator I bought in 1992 that still is going strong. I own a Honda EU, and an Onan. And your reference to the video with Firman problems, the first Honda I had didn't work out of the crate. Honda's are great generators, but because of that one example doesn't mean the whole lineup Honda offers is bad. I've converted cars and trucks to CNG and we always evaluated the economics of installing it on the vehicle and it's use. We didn't spend the money on those cases where it didn't make sense. $300 for a $650 Generac generator doesn't make sense. Also, if you look this generator up online, there are lots of folks that have had various issues and recalls, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't consider it, as your budget may not be able to afford a comparable Honda EU. There are cases where it makes sense to install your kit, but that tends to be where the higher cost of the generator justifies the investment of a $300 or more.

As a reminder please keep your comments professional and courteous. If this is not followed through, you and this post will be removed permanently. Last warning. Disagreements are allowed as long as you are considerate/respectful to others such as myself. I do not tolerate anything less than that, especially on my channel. It’s fortunate that I’m taking time to respond to all comments on here when none of my competitors do any of this on KZbin at all. For obvious reasons why they don’t due to harassment and lack of respectfulness. Unlike my competitors who apologize and move on, I don’t apologize, I draw the line and I will make that very clear with everyone including YOU. From my experience of over 65+ generators in my possession here at my office of different brands, makes and models, I’m pretty aware of what I’m working with, Including a few I had to turn in for warranty. My findings align with feedback I get from customers, some good, some bad but overall I feel Champion, Duromax, and Harbor Freight does a better job with customer service than others I’ve experienced. If your a fan of Firman, that is your right. But I am calling out Firman on their poor customer service including myself where I’ve dealt with two DOA generators. Ai-power sells cheaper generators and their customer service is far better than Firman and I’ve suggested plenty of folks towards the manufacturer. Moving on, in all respects to you. I never asked your feedback on how expensive our kit costs, nor did I ask for your evaluated economics of this kit vs one with dual fuel. You first saw my video, first commented on my video all to start lecturing me on how I should price my kits? Really? I’ve have plenty of folks who are very aware of how much or how little they spent on their generator, but continue to ask if I could make a kit for their generator. If it didn’t make financial business sense I would have NOT bothered building kits for anything less than a Honda generator. I initially started making kits for Honda’s and Hondas only, but came about doing other brands when customers repeatedly asked me to make a kit for Wen, Aipower, Pulsar, Champion, Generac, Predator… Did it make sense to build a kit for a cheap generator? Frankly I could care less of what you think, people asked for it and I built one for them regardless of your dissatisfaction or your budget. I built a quality kit for them, NOT you.
