This provider needs some sense slapped into him. From the clues in this video, this provider must be very authoritative. The nurse showed that he has a very “whatever I say goes...” manner making her afraid to say something. This makes me sick, and is a huge problem in the hierarchy of medical providers. I hope he learns or has someone confront him.

My one and only fear during surgery is the mask. I had a very unpleasant experience when I was lying flat on the table and a more junior anaesthetist came up from behind me, no warning and reached over my head and stuffed that mask on my face with so much force and the gas smelled like melting plastic and I’m trying my best not to inhale it. So I’m almost fighting and scratching at her hands to get her to let go of it. So the senior anaesthetist sharply told her to take the mask away. It was awful!!!! So ever since they always allow me to hold the mask, bearing in mind I’ll only be conscious for another 15 seconds 🤣🤣🤣 They then take over after that. My anaesthetist and surgeon know me so well at this stage they just hand it to me. 🤣🤣🤣

As an old timmer, I think the patient had a micrognathic jaw and they were trying to do an awake peak to see the airway, the second attempt they gave a small dose of propofol and did another semi awake peak at the airway. It could have been a place without the glide scope etc.

A lot healthcare workers are like this, it's not really a surprise to patients. I don't know if their coworkers pretend to not notice or just like to play the victim but it's a big issue
