Time and time again I watch your videos and I always receive results. You are a blessing to students everywhere. Such a concise clear way of teaching. I probably would have switched majors out of engineering if it weren't for you. Mathematics seems like a breeze now! Keep up the great work and god bless!

I'm self teaching myself Calc III and Diff Eq this summer because my high school ran out of classes for me. You're amazing help for clarifying little details. Thank you so much! Sharing you with all my friends taking Calc I this year.

Okay, so it’s 1:30am and my roommate and I just used your part 1 and part2 of this to help us to fix the mistake her boyfriend who is in calculus 3 made on a problem. (Keep in mind I’ve never taken a calc class and she got a C in pre calc) at first it was a joke but we literally watched your video and within an hour we were able to solve all the problems and he’s soooo confused! So thank you! Lmao! Now I weirdly understand some math equation I will never use in my life again! 💗

Patrick, i would just like to say thanks, without you i would probably have flunked out of college, or at the very least out of my major. You are now in the process in getting me through vector calc after helping me through calc 2. I wish i was paying you several grand instead of my college since my teachers are utterly incapable of teaching and do not care about their students one bit. I enjoy learning math from you and wish more teachers taught like you. You should teach teachers how to teach!

I know someone's already mentioned it before on your page, but it would be great having people with better teaching skills at universities, rather than those who mainly conduct their own research. We all have our own textbooks we can turn to as reference, sure, but the lecture should be a learning experience too. You take your time and explain concepts with clarity (something rare at my university) :) I'd write more, but I am limited with character count here! Thank you so much! :D

Why do I pay my Calculus professor thousands of dollars to mumble to himself and scribble on a chalk board in front of me for 50 minutes when I just come watch Patrick's video after and learn it in 10 minutes?

Hey, much thanks for the help. Just one thing, knowing how evaluate partial derivatives of multivariable functions is good and all, but don't you think seeing/knowing where the chain rule comes from (proof of chain rule) is crucial? Maybe it's just me, but I find it hard to take things for granted. I'm not sure if you've a video for it, but it would be nice if you could make a video about where the general chain rule comes from, and how the product and quotient rules can be obtained from it. TY!

Why can't I cancel out the partials......which would result in the right hand side of the expression being twice that of the left hand side? Why is DY/DY or DX/DX not equal to unity. [using " D " to represent partial ] Any insight would be gratefully appreciated.
