Corrosion of soil is very important in case of electric cables, water pipe, underground structures, which are embedded in the soil. The corrosiveness of soil depends upon various factors such as, its activity, degree of aeration, electrical conductivity, its salts and moisture, soil texture, and presence of microbes, bacteria.
