Normally Pickens interviews are first rate. But he seriously dropped the ball on this one. Obviously Patraeus has an excellent command of the the lynchpin to understanding the Middleast : HISTORY. The masses know very little. But they are steeped in the many thousands of years of their history which drives nearly everything they do. Patraeus understands that and could have offered much enlightenment had Pickens drawn him out instead of cutting him off.

Chad, Yes, Butler is correct. There is no need for energy wars. Just help me get the resources to get my new engine done so you can get 10-20 times the economy on NG. Run USA on NG. Can use Diesel, Gasoline, Ethanol, Alcohol, Propane etc. Use fuel with lowest cost per BTU. Can also use battery to. Get 80-95% of the energy gone and all run on NG or battery electrics (not now cost effective by 20 times). My engine would make PIckens plan work and without it...not going to work. Just read some of my comments in other videos.

Boone this is from DiamondBack Engery ticker symbol is FANG Q1 2016 report page 29 and 30. This states that they have drilled a 3 well pad and two pads with 2 wells. They have two 3 well pads waiting for completion, this is all in the Permian Basin. Should i suspect that this report is not true??????? During the three months ended March 31, 2016, we drilled 16 gross (13 net) horizontal wells and one gross (one net) vertical well and participated in the drilling of two gross (one net) non-operated wells in the Permian Basin. We completed a total of eight horizontal wells, which included our initial five wells in Glasscock County. A three well pad targeting the Lower Spraberry, Wolfcamp A and Wolfcamp B horizons came on line in January 2016. The combined 30-day initial production rate for the three laterals was 3,644 BOE/d (75% oil) from an average lateral length of 7,396 feet. A second two well pad targeting the Wolfcamp A and Wolfcamp B horizons was brought on line in February 2016. The combined 30-day initial production rate for the two laterals was 2,312 BOE/d (84% oil) from an average lateral length of 7,465 feet. We have drilled another two-well pad in Glasscock County that is waiting on completion. In Howard County we have two three-well pads waiting on completion. Both pads target the Lower Spraberry, Wolfcamp A and Wolfcamp B intervals. We intend to begin completing the first pad in May 2016 and the second pad in June 2016.

Look, if I can invent an engine that eliminates the need for 80-95% of the fuel, and the remaining 5-20% can be Natural Gas or some battery or Capacitor technology, then why can't this General find people to solve the problem? He either has no clue or does not want to solve the problem. Why not stop wasting time and money and actually listen and support people like me who can solve this problem of energy and stop listening to people like Petraeus who doesn't have a clue and who is not an engineer. Engineers solve problems. Generals kill. Say we got 90% gone, why would we be in the middle east? Fact is we would have all the NG and oil we need to run the USA economy from USA sources and it would all be very very cheap. You could run the entire economy off of bio fuels based on weed (or switchgrass...tall stuff) when you get 90% gone. We add 10% ethanol now...no oil needed... The problem is people who don't know what to do are called to leadership positions. People who don't seek power and control like me are not given positions. Why? Because I solve the problem. They then can't make money from war killing for oil... Arab oil will sit in the ground. They just want to kill us unless we convert. Sorry, this engine will bankrupt Saudi Arabia....about time. Arabs need to export actual products and not ideology that kills. Time to grow up for Arabs.

Mr. Petraeus, you have no solutions that will work. Sorry, just retire. You are costing us all trillions. We don't need other people's oil. We have all we need and many times more to spare. We just need the right engine. All by the numbers. Not some perpetual motion, just good thermodynamics and good engineering, not junk engines that were invented 100 years ago. When energy is 5% of product instead of 25% as it is now (80% of the fuel gone...see my other comments), then you can add tax to cover all the protection we give to Arabs directly on their oil. Their $10/barrel oil now costs $50. All those aircraft carriers cost money. Apply the tax on the sale of oil from the country and charge them for the protection and stop taxing people in the USA to protect dictators who want us dead because we don't follow their cult. I am sorry, but the leadership in this country is so outdated and void of a clue. 20 trillion in debt. Just zero them all out to pay off the debt and toss them out. No debt for our children. Sorry, if a leader cannot figure it out they go bankrupt just like private enterprise does. This notion that some guy like Petreaus can cost us trillions and he gets a pension is insulting.
