It takes a true origamist to realize just how complex some of these models are. You make these look easy to the untrained eye, but the people who are able to fold these see just how difficult some of the steps are.

In case you find a fold difficult, it can help to reduce the video speed to 0.5, so that you can clearly see what is being done, such as at 13:35, which is what I did

I'm getting ready to fold a batch of these for an origami display for my local fair, with the goal of making a series of Thunderbirds flying in formation with paper-based smoke trails, etc. You mentioned starting with a 13" sheet of paper - would you happen to know about what size the final folded model would be with that starting size? My goal would be to fold each plane to a 4" - 5" length. Just figured I'd check before doing a trial fold to figure it out myself, in case you (or anyone else reading this) might already know :). Either way, many thanks for putting this tutorial together! I've mentioned this in your other videos, but you are a genius with paper... Keep up the good work!

According to me the other jet tutorials are not what they claim to be the models don't look like the real thing at all they don't even fly that great nothing worth calling a jet fighter Jayson merril makes the best jet tutorials because they fly great and they look the part too! short version of this is that other tutorials are crap compared to Jayson merrill ,s tutorials

Yo homie jayson i made your vulcan and tigershark for my two 5 and 8 year old cousins and they freaking enjoyed it i cant emphasize this enough but they flew it and played with it all day long and we were dogfighting bella and i were looking at each other face to face and we threw the planes and crashed on each other while maneuvering it was a lot of tweaking until. I finally crashed on to another plane. It was fun dude

For flight models, go to Amazon and look up “Canson marker pad.” You can get 9x12 inch, 11x14 inch, and 14x17 inch. For display models, look up origami-shop.com, they have very high quality papers.
