Tracy's influence is in there somewhere too since she thought that Ned was the true Quartermaine heir and not AJ. Well, that didn't last long since she thought that she was better than any of them. LOL I think also, Ned has only ever known AJ after AJ started drinking (since he started as a kid). To Ned, AJ's always been a drunk that has caused nothing but trouble and heartache to Monica who he still cares for a lot.

Great scene with Emily and Monica, very emotional you can just feel the pain and lovv from both. I think this is when they really become Mother and Daughter. Monica always seemed to pull back before. Does Alan have a scene with Emily? Thanks again for these posts...I can't watch it anymore on TV:)

Lee's alcoholic storylines are probably more in the early to mid 70's than the 80's. Hard to find since vcr's were not standard in homes as they were by the 80's.

I agree what was said about Sonny but he never used or even sold or bought drugs to anyone! Sonny has crossed many lines in PC

When Sonny was first appeared on the show, he owned a strip club where he supplied drugs to underage girls when they worked for him.

pxlbarrel He supplied prescription drugs. He explained one time that at that time he did not know much about prescription drugs. He hated hard drugs and refused to sell them. But he did not think prescription drugs we’re that bad. It was not until one of the girls became addicted, that he realized that they were bad. He cut the girls off and never gave them drugs again. Even criminals can learn from their mistakes.But at this time with Dormand, he hated them, he did not sell or move drugs He especially hated them after someone shot him up with Herion and left him to die.

Sonnyu did use drugs on Karen Wexler who was barely out of high school. Sonny used drugs to get Karen to have sex with him and keep her on his strip-club pole! It nearly destroyed her. Thank goodness Alan was involved in her life and helped.

@@beegee1960 That's a complete rewrite. Sonny knew EXACTLY what he was doing when he got barely out of high school Karen Wexler on drugs and had sex with her to keep her on his strip-club's pole. He KNEW because I WATCHED IT in reel time! Karen nearly perished over that and having realized that her mother's ex had raped her as a child. Sonny never was a good guy or hero as the producers-writers later tried to portray him as. More recently he did say that he was sorry for how he treated her but still he KNEW what he was doing.

He told Stone to take care of "Carrie" MB was only meant to be short term, but TPTB liked him and had to change parts of his character to redeem Sonny, just like they did with TG, who as Luke was meant to be short-term and after he raped Laura, they changed it to a seduction
