The Hypocrisy is astounding, Isn't it? That's why I can't stand Carly. Nelle is basically a more darker version of Carly, and Carly knows it, and she's afraid. Sad thing is people are sacrificing their lives (Willow & Chase) just so Michael, and in a way Carly can fix their problems. Ugh, I can't do it with this storyline, Anymore! If that happens, Then its pretty much a seal deal. Nelle & I suppose Julian will get custody of Wiley. Not only that, but Michael most likely will have a severe falling out with Carly, were he's gonna have no choice, but to start working with Nelle, when it comes to their son. SMH!

I do agree that the citizens of Port Charles are hypocrites. But I do disagree about one thing in regards to Carly and that is having Morgan to hold onto Sonny. When Carly saw Sonny kiss Brenda she was about done with Sonny and she got drunk at Jake’s and Ric took advantage and made it seem like they slept together. Then when she got pregnant she thought the child was Ric’s and he raped her. The point is that she did love Morgan and when Tamara Braun was playing Carly you saw how much she loved Michael and Morgan. Alexis was overbearing, controlling, overprotective, and manipulative of her children at times but she never used them to hold on to a man. If anything Alexis (who I don not like a lot of the time) was the most independent woman in Port Charles. She wasn’t someone that needed to be rescued, she had her own career and her own money, she owned her house but her downfall was men because she kept picking the worst ones but she never put a man above her children. I know I got off topic so let me get on the topic of Nelle. The reasons why I do not think Nelle would be good for Wiley: 1. She gave her son to Brad to hurt Michael. It was not about protecting Wiley or keeping him safe from Michael’s family mob ties but out of pure spite to get back at Michael and ultimately Carly. 2. Nelle’s primary motivations is to stick it to Carly. That has been her ultimate goal since day one. Now I know a lot of you compare Sarah Brown’s Carly to Nelle and I agree with most of the comparisons. Both were vindictive, spiteful, sociopathic, users, and selfish. The big difference is that in spite of that Carly loves Michael. Carly kept Michael away from AJ and the Quartermaines because she thought she was protecting him from their dysfunction which is a laugh considering all the stuff she did. You saw genuine emotion from Carly when she couldn’t hold him because of post partum and then when she held him for the first time. Carly did use Michael to hold onto Jason but once Jason left and she got pregnant by Sonny, she wasn’t leaving the Quartermaines without her son. Carly definitely wasn’t mother of the year or hell the month through her early years but she truly loved Michael. She just was a mess. 3. Nelle is not even a bit remorseful, sympathetic or anything. She lives to start shit with people who are just minding their own business. 4. Michael has a heart, displays empathy for others and is not selfish. He wants Wiley because he loves him and wants to raise his. His motivations are not malicious. Michael is not trying to keep Nelle away from Wiley because he hates her but because she would hurt Wiley physically and emotionally. Wiley is a pretty chill baby and he is always smiling. For the most part he never really cries. What do you think would happen if Wiley threw a tantrum in Nelle’s care or he was crying uncontrollably. What do you think Nelle would do. Which brings me to the last number 5. Nelle is truly mentally unstable now I imagine that someone will say that Michael does not have it all there. Michael does not have it all there as far as reading people. Michael is gullible at times and idiotic which is funny considering who his parents are but Michael makes up for that because of how good person he is. Is Michael perfect not but a long shot. What Michael lacks in not always being the sharpest in the bunch, he makes up for it in his strength. Michael has overcame a lot. He was kidnapped as a baby, bounced from one home to the next, being raised by different fathers the first years of his life, having a crazy and selfish mother (even though she is better now, but still a bit crazy), he was kidnapped as a child by AJ and brainwashed, he thought he killed AJ (he didn’t though), he had to deal with his parents multiple divorces, he got shot as a kid and was in a coma for a year, had anger issues, killed his stepmother to protect his mother and baby Jos, went to prison, was raped in prison, went through a lot to adjust to society again, got his heart broken time and time again, Sonny killed AJ, he lost Morgan, and got with crazy Nelle and had a child with her. Hell Michael is a survivor and through it all he has a good heart and he is protective of his family. Michael should not be punished because who his parents are and how he was raised. Nelle has not displayed an ounce of Maternal bond with Wiley. I don’t even recall her saying she loves Wiley. Also, every time Nelle mentions getting custody of Wiley she also keeps bringing up Carly. Hell even Nelle’s lawyer asked if she is ready to be a mother or does she have what it takes to be a mother. Martin knows that Nelle does not have it all there. My apologies for the super long paragraph. This is what it comes down to: who is the best parent for Wiley? Who has Wiley’s best interests at heart? Everyone can feel that Carly is a hypocrite and that the other women of Port Charles are not the best mothers but that doesn’t matter on this case. It’s about who is the better parent.

I'm not a big fan of the Carly/Sonny/Jason stuff in general... _that_ is what I call "drawn out." I will watch what they're doing, but I wish they'd do something different with it. I'm wondering if they're trying to get Sam away from Jason once and for all, suggesting Jason's first priority is Carly and Sonny, which is a great way to start to change that dynamic. I basically like all these actors and they mostly entertain me, but I would love a different direction in some areas, and then perhaps a return to things the way they are now at another time. I've always had a problem with Sonny as a mobster/drug dealer (that is what they _used to_ strongly suggest, but they seem to be trying to get away from that suggestion now, which they should) but I have no problem with the actor. It's great story for Nell to get custody to be honest. Probably not full of course but primary with visitation by Michael. It would spurn off years of story. As someone who has always been a Carly and Sonny fan, I find HIGHLY ironic that this is happening as this is what was happening with Michael all those years ago. Also, while I do think Nell will take advantage of her position as Wiley's mother, she does actually love him, which doesn't excuse anything she does, but it does give her more layering as a character.

Finally, Julian has some sense. If I were him I wouldn't come testify for Nelle; she's the definition of an unfit parent unwilling to change. She has had several occupations over the years working with kids, including being Avery, and Charlotte's nanny, so she knows how to do it. I also believe she was a kindergarten teacher as well. Nelle seriously lacking in certain reading skills. But seriously, I get the angle she was going for with Julian, but how effective would Julian really be as a character witness? Sounds pretty desperate, and not to mention, she never really had associations with Julian. Nina obviously made more sense since she has been working a while under her. But Julian just doesn’t make much sense in the sense where they were barely in each other’s orbit. If the intent of the writing is to show she’s desperate enough to go to someone she barely had interaction with to testify for her, congratulations. But otherwise, I don’t think this move made much sense.

I think they're setting her up to fail miserably. I think Nina will back out of being a character witness at the last minute, and whatever she wants Julian to do, I don't think its going to account to anything in court. If they're doing a redemption story, She needs to lose this round, because she is overplaying her hand, Big Time! I'm also smelling a surprise Pregnancy plot with Nelle, Coming Up! That's usually a key that GH is on board with this redemption arc. Maybe a child that doesn't have the DNA of royalty, who can't be used as a weapon, like Wiley will maybe change Nelle, and make her strive to be a better person, because she sure isn't trying with Wiley.

@Wa Wa it has crossed my mind that Michael is using that as an excuse of convience. He may not be calling Wiley by the name Jonah out of spite. Nelle actually did pick the name Jonah afterall. Michael just agreed. Plus Michael does have a knack for trying to exclude Nelle as Wileys mother. Really, It is a little odd that this soap isnt going back to the babys birth name. They generally do. Even with given names like in John/ Spencers or Rocco situation. They were given a new name at later ages even if it was a kidnapping. Dont get me wrong I like the name Wiley better but it is odd. Legally by law Michael and Nelles son is legally Jonah and Willows baby, Wiley, is dead.
