This is the Michael I always missed but somehow, Carly and Sonny work their way back to him. This scene here should’ve shattered everything. AJ deserved better. Innocent and he tried to tell Sonny but Al’s per the usual hatred blinds Sonny and then… he’s sorry. Sonny hated AJ but for no real reason. And I know some of you will say because he pushed Carly down some stairs. He never did. They were arguing and she yanked away. Ever since then Sonny blamed him. But he didn’t do anything.

Worst decision Carlivati made; to kill AJ off. He brings him back, he and Sean Kanan have some behind-the-scenes argument and he kills him off. What a stupid, unprofessional, move! After decades of waiting for Michael & AJ to finally bond as father and son, and all the stories they could have had moving forward, Michael taking his rightful place with his real father, as Quartermaines, together, going up against Sonny, together. What a waste....

@@TheNoybusiness AJ was his father and Carly was the bch who took him away from AJ for life, Sonny the bastard who helped her by threatening to kill AJ if he didn't sign away his paternal rights. That's the Carly and Sonny M.O. take kids away from the other parents. They did it with Ava and Avery, Michael and AJ, and Carly tried her best to keep Willow, Wiley and Amelia from Nina. AJ tried many times over the years to have a relationship with his son and each time they thwarted him, threatened him. And when finally, Michael sought AJ out when he, Michael, was in his 20s? He grew to love AJ, took the Quartermaine name and cut Sonny & Carly out of his life. It's a shame the show reversed it all back.

@@zeek2436 Despite his many misdeeds over the years, AJ was always the family scapegoat and was scolded for being a waste of space to appease the 3 stooges' actions (although Jason was the only one who felt regret over what went down). I always wanted somewhere out there that AJ has a long lost son out there who comes to Port Charles and read them the riot act.

This is my favorite version of Michael. When he turned his back on Sonny and Carly and became Michael Quartermaine. That was Chad Duell at his best: a cold and ruthless Michael with limited bs tolerance for his sorry excuses for parents.

The story I will never forgive GH for is the fact that they had Michael forgive Sonny and Carly. Instead of having him be done with his insane parents, he not only forgave them, he forgave them quickly. It was such a big story and it was such a big let down. But of course I forgot everything has to be perfect for Sonny.

You are awesome! I have been saying this for years I actually love these characters but it is so unrealistic how Sonny always comes out on top. He is a cold blooded murder and yet every person he murders conviently deserves it and is more despicable than he is and so deserves death. Sonny, Carly and Jason are Soaps biggest hypocrites. Aj never stood a chance on this Soap... same for Alcazar, Julian Jerome and many others.. all become Canon fodder to prop up the mob storyline. Every single D.A. that has come on to the canvas comes on with a moral compass, comes knowing who and what Sonny is and are adamant that he should be punished for his crimes, then lo and behold he miraculously saves thier lives and they fall!!!

Thank you, very much! What Sonny did should've fundamentally changed their relationship forever. But no. The writers just had to give him a pass in every sense. Him getting a pardon(they just to have be a big hero with the bomb) the murder charges was one thing, but to have Michael forgive him, take back his name, and have it all be like it never happened is beyond unbelievable. Carly continues to bad mouth AJ whenever he's brought up. No shocker there. Also, I couldn't believe that everything that happened with AJ was completely danced around when Jason came back. I wanted to see his reaction to finding out his brother turned up alive - only to be killed by his friend. I'm not shocked Jason isn't holding any grudges against him, but still, him finding out about it was worth showing. As if that wasn't bad enough, a while back Michael was telling Willow about AJ's death, but left out the part about him confronting Ava about killing Connie, so she tried to kill him too. Painted a picture to Willow of Sonny killing him being in self defense. I can't believe the writers have taken it as far as rewriting the situation like that. Of course, Ava has gotten to continue walking free too. It ticked me off when a medium told her that AJ and Connie's spirits wanted to talk her, but Ava just got annoyed and said she didn't care about them. I can't stand how the writers have just continuously spit on his grave the years scene his death

I used to love Sonny, Sonny and Carly romance, and Sonny relationship with Michael, but now I can't stand any of it. And it is one of the main reasons I stopped watching the show.

The only thing he seemed to regret about killing AJ was that it caused a temporary estrangement between him and Michael. Then there was his look back at his first kill, Marguax's father. All that mattered there was making sure he couldn't get nailed for it.

This was fuckin epic! Sonny being held at gunpoint by Michael for killing his real father AJ. Sonny and Carly did have this coming for what Sonny did to AJ but Sonny was definitely always Michael’s father. It was nice to see Sonny helpless for once but he seemed to take it like a man for Michael. Dante talking Michael out of shooting Sonny was as good. Great acting by all these actors.

Sonny is such a biggest Idiot ever!!! He had to shot AJ before he could tell him the truth!!! He knows what Michael felt about him. When he thought AJ shot Olivia and killed Connie he could've at least got him arrested before he find out Ava was responsible for the whole thing.

AJ was thrown under the bus to make the unholy trinity look good. The propping was so obvious that it wasn’t even laughable. AJ was never a saint or always such a good moral character, but what everyone since Guza has done to the character has just been unforgivable (though I’ll at least give RC props for allowing him and Micheal to form a relationship, even though Ron still sucks for killing him off).

Even Jason later said it was never his place to take Michael from AJ and he wished he hadn't. Michael wasn't saved he was shot raped kidnapped and grew up feeling unsafe handing Michael to Sonny was one of Jason's biggest regrets.

Y’all are so wrong for saying that either Jason or Sonny should’ve been Micheal’s father. They had ZERO right to do any of what they did. If you love a child, that’s all good, but you don’t get to force a biological parent out of their lives simply because you dislike them (you especially have no right to do that when you’re known for being in the mob).
