Ned, Tracy, Monica and Michael yes Michael doesn't see them as family, family but only as family when it's time to vote on something of personal interest of ELQ. And that is what Brooklyn wanted Ned to see that he only gives a damn about her or other members of the family like Skye and Maya, Danny and Scout only if it evolves ELQ. And they wonder why Jason wants nothing to do with them or the family business because of the self righteous hypocrisy that comes out of that house.

Smart businessmen still have their limits. His logic in not saving GH makes sense.
