I loved the music they used for the Quartermaines. I'm not sure if they used it for others...but that little cue when Ned says he's going to stay for six months...awesome. They played it during the Dorman Valentines day scene between Alan and Monica when he forgave her - it brought me to tears. I never understood why Ned did not follow Lila's advice and go and get his damned wife. Ned was just as much a prisoner of the Edward as Alan and Tracy. I loved Edward - but he had a toxic side.

Ned was so damned sanctimonious about the Q's and how toxic that entire family was to Lois and their baby. But he still chose to stay there instead of going with her. His reasoning was lame. If Ned really loved Lois as much as he claimed, he'd have left the family for her. I'm glad AJ called him out on it, to which all Ned could do was hurl an insult, because he knew it was true.

I watched it again. You're right.. and Ned kind of admitted it, that he liked the priviledge he had in being a Quartermaine. Pretty disgusting, as much as he declared he had loved Lois. If I was him, I would have left the family, too. There were some decent ones in the family, like Monica and Lila, but the rest were basically selfish and borderline evil, (like Edward, later in his dealings with Carly who was basically a sociopath), in that all they seemed to care about was money.

Lynn Smith He liked the privilege of being a Quartermaines because it allowed him the opportunity for revenge. The only way he was able enforce punishing Tracy by banishing her was to agree to straighten out E LQ’s problems. I think he should have let them sink âne went to Lois. But his own fortune was tied to E LQ. He had to protect that.

Yes. I loved her on The City. She was always up to something and scheming. She had to hire fake Quartermaines once and the man playing Edward was gay and obvious. By the show's end she married into a mob family and took over.

Lois wasn't a pathological liar and narcissistic sociopath. Lois was never capable of any of the things Carly was. The Qs wanted to get the baby away from Carly for the reasons you give, but more because of the danger the baby was in just having Carly for a mother. And Sonny blackmailing AJ for Michael meant no contact, no updates, no progress reports, nothing. If Carly was my baby mama I'd never stop clawing my face off, if Lois was I'd trust her and at least sleep at night.

The moral "voice" of the Q's was Lila! Then Emily with Lois third. Edward didn't get this upset when Monica fell madly in lust with Sean Donnelly, who she betrayed the family for and intended to marry! Sean stole the Q fortune, with Monica kicking them out (Lila left also) to live above Kelly's! Lila saved their butts with Pickle-Lila! Why didn't Edward feel the same about Alan being hurt by Monica? Especially with the AJ-Rick fiasco. I think it was more about the baby than Lois.

You may be right about the baby part. He sure got possessive about Carly's baby Michael, much later down the road, despite what Carly had done to AJ and that she was a sociopath and was often really disrespectful to many in the family.

Jason and Sonny are not wrecked, and AJ wrecked himself. He wrecked himself long before Carly ever came on the scene. How convenient it is to blame Carly for everyone’s problems. But these are grown men, not children that Carly could lead around by the nose. It is time that they are held to account for their own actions and quit blaming others. Not that Jason and Sonny do that anyway. AJ is the only one who needs a scapegoat.

Edward a last card b4 he died was to Jason's baby Danny: to the future ceo . He only cared about gender & alan was his son & Alan had 2 sons & those 2 sons had 3 sons. & Michael had a son. It's like geez down Alan's tree can a daughter pop up ? I know drew but I only consider jason & aj brothers. Any recent drivel that re ron wrote I dont care. In any event Edward favors boys down Alan's family tree bc they have the quartermaine name. While any child of traceys or their heirs wont. Ned & Brooklyn are Ashton's & dylan is a hornsby. I have no clue what michael or Wiley's last name is since michael at one point disowned sonny & re took the biological last name quartermaine. He sadly returned to them so I dont know what last name is now
