Yes, and I should have mentioned that. However, ssdi has no asset limit so a special needs trust would probably be inappropriate.

@@JL-v2x my son is on ssdi; I thought he would need a snt if his home needed a new roof or if he needs a car after I’m gone…I wouldn’t feel good about giving him a large amount of cash after I die for those items…that would be my only option other than a snt though, right? Or not? I’d really rather not have to do one because they’re really complicated and give so much freedom to the trustee/fiduciary.
