one slight mistake - diverticulosis means the diverticula are present, diverticular disease means the diverticular symptomatic and diverticulitis refers to inflammation of a diverticulum.

For case 2...why would adhesions lead to absolute constipation 2 years after the surgery. I would have thought the adhesions would be stable long before this and thus it would be odd to have this happen 2 years later.

Faecal peritonitis perhaps may help in explaining the severity of disease that lead to adhesion taking place faster
