They're not very large chapters compared to the Dark Angel's, Ultramarine and Black Templars but they have the best wargears and they have it in spades making them more formidable than 99% of other chapters

The white scars are very similar. A good example is during the battle of Terra where they realized the people at the space port were being abandoned and they went to cover the guards retreat IIRC. Also when Jagadai Khan went outside the wall to fight the traitors. Salamanders, white scars and Alpha are my favorite legions. Surprised you like the Smurfs almost as much as the salamanders lol

You should read up on the rage of the Raven Guard. Like the Salamnders, they are quite kind to mortars but also extremely reserved and quiet. When they break thier silence and start raging, they made even the world eaters afraid and break contact and flee the battlefield. For every 5 world eaters that fell, a single Raven had fallen. Not even the gifts of Khorne was enough to save them.

I read a Didcworld book where the main character talks about good men and killing: You had better realise how much trouble you are in if a good man determines that you have to die. I used to think like you said in the first part of the video, that some chapters are head and shoulders above others, and that in some situations a chapter of space marines would get waffle stomped by another in their specialty, then i read RED TITHE, and understood that even a space marine of great renown can be brought to heel in the right situation, and that it can happen in an instant, and that even the weaker fighter using better tactics won't always stave off the inevitable, but they will do some damage in the meantime

In a universe filled with absurd, over-the-top shit like Warhammer 40,000, the Salamanders Legion stands as the ultimate bulwark for Humanity (I am not just talking about the human race here) for they are the literal representation of "With great power comes great responsibility". i’ve had to describe the fighting styles of each legion and the salamanders I described as high strength, low speed it’s not that they can’t catch up with you given enough time. It’s more when they do catch you. There is no surviving. Where is they with the night Lords It’s death by 1000 cuts .with the salamanders it’s one good swing and that’s it. I also realize it’s why they fight the main reason why the salamanders flight is because they actively want to keep the imperial safe that doesn’t mean any of the other chapters on in this case legions didn’t want to protect the imperium of mankind it’s just that for the salamanders, that was their main goal.

Thanks for this one. As a fan of the salamanders I don't love when people sell them short. As you stated you just have to look at their arsenal and their father's rage when humanity is threatened to see why they are at least as effective as any other space marines. But a little more food for thought. In many engagements they are known to take heavy losses and yet on most occasions they considered to have come out on top as they typically at least get the people out so that humanity doesn't lose any more souls than necessary. If that doesn't show their unyielding nature when it comes to their duty as humanity's protectors, I don't know what does.
