Color Sergeant Hyperkid of the 5th VA Infantry here. This was one hell of a battle and it was awesome fighting alongside the 6thLA and yourself Cody! Fighting 5th is always ready! It is really cool properly seeing how the Union was positioned in the beginning because I couldn’t see anything due to the smoke and the distance. Having 250+hours of experience and 100+ just carrying the flag has given me a good sense of when I need to run away to preserve the colors as seen when I ran for my goddamn life after hitting the fence line.

Great looking game. Hard to believe in those days that men would just stand there while being shot at, talk about brave. They basically used Napoleonic warfare/tactics but the guns had more range/power.

alot more accuracy too. too bad by the end they realized it was no longer needed. it switched to more modern tactics of trench warfare and it costed hundreds of thousands of american lives

The reason the Union wasn’t taking losses in the beginning was because they were they were New Jersey boys. We are very at home in muddy ditches and cornfields so we had an unfair advantage. We’re the northern equivalent of Florida man so fighting against a bunch of angry sewer goblins is not fun, take it from me.

Makes sense. But sometimes the charges we establish can also throw them off. There are times they think we might just shoot a few vollys and then next thing they see is bayonets are coming right at them.
