The funniest thing about Kibler being famous for playing the aggro in MTG is that now, as a Hearthstone player, he's a grindy value-control player.

am not spam bot llc. But almost all those decks still get to attack and produce threats often, which is what he likes. He still stays away from combo decks like Miracle Rogue
@Insomniaphxxxxx7 жыл бұрын
Because I think in Magic controls are considered to be the "evil guys", and aggro are the "good guys". But in HS it's the exact opposite.
@raphaelmerino1007 жыл бұрын
In MTC you can interact in your oponent turn, so aggro has a huge disadvantage, and in MTG you do not have a health cap, so in theory, if you heal for 200, you have 200 + your initial life, there are a lot of other motives to make aggro actually the good guys in MTG.

Now Brian is playing Hearthstone, very well, and with a smile on his face. He also broadcasts the highlights on to KZbin very often and almost always laughs after he wins. It's nice to watch because he's not in the room with the other person so he can say his thought process out loud to the stream and you can truly understand what is going through his mind.

What is this "Dragonmaster" business? Everyone knows he is Brian "Brian Kibler" Kibler.
@@tempestandacomputer6951 It's actually from Hearthstone, where he also competed and commentated for a while. There people's name cards were typically displayed as [First name] "ingame name" [last name], which in his case was Brian "Brian Kibler" Kibler. I assume he expressed his dislike towards this at some point and thus the meme of Brian "Please don't call me "Brian "Brian Kibler" Kibler" Kibler was born.

As a yugioh player, really appreciate the way magic allows players show up to an event with a completely custom deck and have a chance at winning. In yugioh there might be 5% of winners playing something self made and unique and that is a stretch. The best you get usually is a meta deck with a few tech cards here and there

Its interesting seeing his Magic History as a Hearthstone player. Personally, i always assumed he got the nickname "Dragonmaster" and his "Dragon Army" idea from Hearthstone since he was one of the bigger advocates for Dragon Priest prior to Whispers of the Old Gods release, but its interesting to learn that it was a unconventional card and strategy that earned him the name. Good to see Kibler hasn't changed too much.

This was a great feature. Even having been playing the game for over ten years it's this video that made me realize that some Top 8's and above can actually look good on a resume (if you're applying for a game design job at least). The only criticism I have is that like the artist videos features like this should have their own series. Just don't name them 'Inside the Artist' and 'Inside the Player'. I mean I'm surprised 'Judge's Corner' isn't lumped into 'Inside the Deck'.
