1 Today Bobby and Epiphany would both let her slide on being late. 2. Nice look from JJ when she remembered how he likes his BLTs. 3. "I'd recognize your brush stroke anywhere." 2 and 3 are minuscule details in the scheme of things, but when you're talking about a relationship between two people those minuscule details speak volumes. This scene was excellent.

I don't get why Sam seems to not only not like Jason, but seems to have NO RESPECT for him as a person. I get she's a parent and wants to protect her kids, but it's like she forgets Jason is the same man she fell in love with. Just cuz your priorities changed doesn't mean you should harbor resentment toward Jason for not changing with you.

I don’t like “pride” is the right word. The criticism of Jason and Lucky are valid that doesn’t make her a bad person for pointing out how it affects her kids but she does a great job of being neutral when it comes to the kids. She doesn’t force them to have relationships with their dads when they don’t want to, but at the same time, she is encouraging them to have better relationships and always leaves the door open for the fathers to reconnect with their sons.
