You should explore the history of the "Estado de Los Altos" (State of the Highlands) or "Sexto Estado de la Federación Centroamericana" (Sixth State of the Central American Federation), which declared its independence in 1838 and lasted until 1840. You have covered states which lived only for a couple of months, yet left out an actual, real state that for many (of us) still exists due to the fact that it was never legally dissolved, only annexed. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Los_Altos_(state)

The Mapuche of Chile are semi indigenous, because they actually don’t live in separate ways as Chileans. They semi preserved they culture because many of their traditions are part of the Chilean people, even the vocabulary. They are still “fighting their rights” both pacific and radical way. The radical part are fueled by international leftist organizations (as well nationals) making acts of terrorism and sabotage to the government and the civilians. The vast majority of the Mapuche are not sided with this view but they don’t say much against about it. Rapa Nui are a separate history. In few words, if Chile concede total independence to the island, taking of all the government infrastructure, they will die or many will flee to the mainland

Funny you should mention Rapanui. The British did the same with The Treaty of Waitangi here in New Zealand, although our government is not as restrictive as Chile, they are still pretty mischievous in their dealings. Also Rapanui had always been inhabited, I don't know why people assume it wasn't.

I live in the argentinian part of the supposedly Mapuche territory and let me tell you there is no way they are getting anything more than some hectares in some remote part of Chubut (argentine province). Even though there are people here with some mapuche blood (maybe even me) the customs, rules, way of living reflects that of the rest of Argentina or specifically Buenos Aires, which is influenced primarily by southern european countries. Theres little trace of the mapuche culture in this side of the Andes

@Andrew The only reason New England wasn't annexed by GB at the end of the war of 1812 was because they had just defeated Napoleon and prevented other Europeans from slicing into France for new territory, thus it would not have looked good for GB to do the same in North America. So yeah, count yourself lucky I guess. Oh and also, saying you "tolerate" Canada and this inflated self opinion of yourself and your backwards nation shows me that it's actually YOU who could benefit from a bit of an education. Cheers!

America, a huge landmass that encompasses North America, Central America, and South America. Named after Américo Vespucci, an Italian navigator that explored the coasts of Brazil, Uruguay, and Argentina. The term came to encompass the whole of S. America and the Spanish spread the name to the rest of its empire further north. Later, other countries called their colonies in the New World, their American colonies, just like the Spaniards and Portuguese had done so. So the name is not just synonymous to a particular country, but also all countries of the Western Hemisphere, hence the Organization of AMERICAN States, The Pan-American Unión, which predates the OAS, and the Pan American Games. The Americas or America is correct for the big landmass in the Western Hemisphere and according to the dictionary, all citizens of the American countries, can also be called American, even though the US is the country that mostly uses that term to describe its citizens.

Sorry that’s not the flag I know for Greenland (I always thought it had a cross like the rest of Scandinavia). Is there a history of it being changed or am I having a Mandela effect here?

I think you may be thinking of some old proposals for Greenland flags that are Nordic crosses, especially when Greenland was picking out it's flag: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flag_of_Greenland#Other_proposals

Redonda: The brits took control of the shitty rock before the guy who claimed to be the first "king" was even born yet. It was always uninhabited (go figure, it's a big fucking rock in the middle of nowhere ocean) Greenland: Lmaooooooo good joke dude. No, Greenland is too dependent on Danish assistance to go independent.

You missed Puerto Rico. Called Borinquén before Columbus arrived in 1493. Ruled under Spain until 1898. Had 1 day of sovereignty. And invaded by United States in 1898, until present time.

Fucking finally, a gringo who says "América" to refer to the entire continent, from Greenland to Argentina, you're not egotistical as the United Statian people (Citizens from United States), of course, thinking they're superior to us, sadly that stills happening -_- , but well done! You even said "central América" knowing América it's divided into 3 sub-continents, North América, Central América and South América, i'm so proud of u >;P ñwñ
