You should explore the history of the "Estado de Los Altos" (State of the Highlands) or "Sexto Estado de la Federación Centroamericana" (Sixth State of the Central American Federation), which declared its independence in 1838 and lasted until 1840. You have covered states which lived only for a couple of months, yet left out an actual, real state that for many (of us) still exists due to the fact that it was never legally dissolved, only annexed. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Los_Altos_(state)

The Mapuche of Chile are semi indigenous, because they actually don’t live in separate ways as Chileans. They semi preserved they culture because many of their traditions are part of the Chilean people, even the vocabulary. They are still “fighting their rights” both pacific and radical way. The radical part are fueled by international leftist organizations (as well nationals) making acts of terrorism and sabotage to the government and the civilians. The vast majority of the Mapuche are not sided with this view but they don’t say much against about it. Rapa Nui are a separate history. In few words, if Chile concede total independence to the island, taking of all the government infrastructure, they will die or many will flee to the mainland

@Andrew The only reason New England wasn't annexed by GB at the end of the war of 1812 was because they had just defeated Napoleon and prevented other Europeans from slicing into France for new territory, thus it would not have looked good for GB to do the same in North America. America, a huge landmass that encompasses North America, Central America, and South America. Named after Américo Vespucci, an Italian navigator that explored the coasts of Brazil, Uruguay, and Argentina. The term came to encompass the whole of S. America and the Spanish spread the name to the rest of its empire further north. Later, other countries called their colonies in the New World, their American colonies, just like the Spaniards and Portuguese had done so. So the name is not just synonymous to a particular country, but also all countries of the Western Hemisphere, hence the Organization of AMERICAN States, The Pan-American Unión, which predates the OAS, and the Pan American Games. The Americas or America is correct for the big landmass in the Western Hemisphere and according to the dictionary, all citizens of the American countries, can also be called American, even though the US is the country that mostly uses that term to describe its citizens.
@quidam_surprise3 жыл бұрын
