Generate Plate Mesh in STAAD: Part 2 - Basic Plate Mesh

Use of finite element mesh in a structural model is very common. From modelling a slab/floor diaphragm, shear wall, foundation to silo, clarifier or culvert - plate element is used in almost all types of structural model.
In this entire video series on plate mesh generation, I will discuss about different mesh generation approaches and how we can model a plate mesh properly in STAAD following correct procedure.
In the second part, I have covered the basic plate mesh options using create mesh and plate mesh options available in STAAD, discussed how to generate a plate mesh with multiple holes and also covered few problems related to the basic plate mesh.

Ii have problem making a hole, it says " boundary points are not in the same plane"

Check the Y coordinate of the nodes from the input editor, nodes that you are using to generate the mesh.
