What good coaching does… You get to see the difference of the ball every time she hits it.

Hello, i imagine Patrick does not personally manage this account but it would be nice a video addressing “too much spin” players as well. The ones that make the ball spin like crazy but shank a lot of balls or have no penetration due to spin. I’m sure there are A LOT of players (myself included) who have the same problem
@dwelch241
@dwelch241 2 жыл бұрын
You would just want to continue through the ball with your hand. That's not a "too much spin" problem, although there are times when it's advantageous to drive straight through the ball.

Ohhh... I am si glad to see one more greek girl playing so well with an excellent coach. I am very proud for Patrick since I am from Greece and I hope that one day I will be able to play much better than now.

Bravo. And great to see new young Greek talent hitting the ball with ferocity. She’ll improve a lot when she takes your advice and coaching and trusts you completely. She still thinks hitting hard is the way, which it could be, but consistency must be the foundation. Go forth 🇬🇷 🇫🇷

Backhand looks more lethal than the forehand, but also more prone to errors.

these players can potentially be wta or atp players. that is the whole point we watch how they made progress with a coach. we wont watch a newbie learning tennis basics.

A lot of his videos are to create awareness in the player through experimenting and focussing on different aspects of the game, rather than aspects of technique.

Her backhand had little spin and little net clearance, even after he tried to correct this behavior. I sometimes wonder if the audio has been added after the video and sometimes isn't related.

Its like she isn't balanced enough and most of her weight resides on her front foot and she comes around the ball instead of underneath. Her right shoulder is super low so how is she supposed to get under the ball?
@kuanhau4323

It’s because her take back is really straight armed so she need to make compensations for that. I guess that would be the next lesson for her after the first adaptation, which is generating spin. With another player with a different tendency he would teach her differently.

One thing I never understood. While feeding, balls are coming at a slower pace. When in a rally when the balls are faster, what are you suppose to do differently? Just prepare quicker?

Many women prefers the flat shot as opposed to heavy top spins minus a few. I think it's time for coaches to introduce more spins in the women's game so that they can have more consistencies and less errors. Many of the women's matches are too boring to watch because of excessive errors and the rallies are very short too because they can't sustained hitting beyond a couple of shots before they starts making errors.

It's ridiculous how 99% of the players are instantly much better in 10 min and most of them are already extremely good.

She has two handed backhand and usually it's supposed to be Easier to generate lots more of Top spins but she hits so Flat all time. Is it because Her wrists were not relaxed enough, not enough racket flip motion and muscle memory issues??
@asantesamuel13
@asantesamuel13 2 жыл бұрын
She just isn't brushing up behind the ball, she hits it very out in front and plows through it rather than coming up and over and flexing her wrists. If she were to flex her wrists on contact and loosen her grip slightly, she would get a ton of spin. She gets incredible racquet head speed so that slight adjustment would give her tons of margin.

It's actually easier to generate top spin with a one handed backhand, two handers are naturally flatter

All of the balls that are fed can easily be hit flat that’s why she’s not hitting with topspin since she doesn’t have to get under the ball
