You need to have insane quick reflexes with great volley touch… only Federer could do it and even for him it wasn’t that effective, but it was worth playing cuz it would make his opponents rethink

I think Mouratglou encourages too much the player. If you want to be a champion, the last thing you want is a coach that constantly tells you how are your shots. It puts too much information in you thus becoming worthless and you cannot leave the player on his own trying to figure out things by his own. TO arrive at the top, you have to find it within yourself. The coach must be here during some moments but clearly not constantly like with a baby

I don’t get the beginning where you are brushing the top part of the ball… how would you create a top spin lob that way?
@ts440s
@ts440s 5 сағат бұрын
A 10deg closed face is preferred by pros to generate more top spin it's to ensure more contact with strings and so ball dosent go long remember the ball is going to slightly torque the face open this is to ensure that strings contact and ball leaves strings so face is not open the massive spin generated compensates for the shut face.
@1strule00
@1strule00 4 сағат бұрын
@@ts440s I agree a closed face is correct for top spin but I don't think you ever brush over the top of the ball as shown in the video... if you look at slow motion pro top spin serves you can see they are making contact directly behind the ball...not on top or underneath. If you brushed on top like shown in the video the ball would go into the net or straight down into the court.

One of the big aspects is that Djokovic plays statistical tennis (which he pushed to the highest heights, and credit to him), which renders it more easy to play great on high tension points and moment, versus attacking tennis of Federer which has by definition less margin and therefore hardest to pull out in tension moments

I love slicing on the backhand side as much as the next guy, but if you really want to get to the next level, you should be hitting through the ball on your backhand. The slice starts to get exposed at higher levels

Both are wrong,very wrong,the best first serve is one when you hit the ball exactly when it stops in the air fully flat with whole body weight pressing forward with tremendous amount of speed followed with doubled kinetic from down to up and everything starts barely when racquet gets in touch with the ball right at the start of serve after mental preparation,start before serve.ball should be tossed as much as possible into the court...yeah,thanks, you're the master😂....you'll need one more lifetime to understand all of this...bye bye,one second God class of tennis

When young there’s another factor. Players can win from technical better ones by just being fast and only “put” their racket against the ball. Playing defensive by hitting moonballs and let the attacking player make mistakes. Fortunately this advantage goes away when they get bigger, stronger and learn the skills to overcome such way of playing.

Just doing your best to stay close keep it tight and make it count when it matters the most. Just had a match where I saved 8 match points because after the first 3 he mentally collapsed unfortunately the deficit was too big for me to come back, but this goes to show that had I been closer, in those key moments mentality can make a huge difference

@@Turbulencemodehe didn't collapsed completely if he got another 5 match point and converted the last one. it's always "possible" to come back in tennis even after match points, you can increase you level, opponent can start making mistakes , can find tactical solution against opponent game or win thanks to better stamina, or making opponent run more. it just takes 2 or 3 points in a row to win a decisive and disputed game, then sometimes make a second or even third break in a row. once you win the set, you have your chances

Tennis is NOT a naturally played sport. Bad technique can kill you. This is why Patrick is extremely overrated. You simply cannot control the ball with a LOOSE wrist. Service Tosses are NOT “frontal.” They are lateral. My daughter (and myself) both own 120 mph serves. You simply cannot serve at that speed holding the racquet “loosely.” Patrick himself never played particularly well and the first person you teach is yourself. No credibility to what he is saying. With that kind of clueless coaching Rune will never win anything. Tennis is played with the LARGER muscles (top of the shoulder) not the smaller muscles (wrist) I’m so done watching this Inspector Closeau French imposter.
