Generation Girl: Gotta Groove (1999) - GAMEPLAY! FINALLY!

DISCLAIMER:
Sorry about the glitching audio, I did the best I could to get this to run as smoothly as possible. I used VirtualBox emulator to emulate Windows 98 on my modern PC and had to install lots of technical goodies for this to work. If you have any tips to get this to not glitch, please feel free to let me know!
Hello all!! The curious and the Barbie lovers! FINALLY, here is the only game play of the full game on KZbin!!! I was 3 when this came out, and vividly remember getting it at our local Sams Club. I collect Barbie and have almost all the Generation Girls in my collection and this seemed like the only next logical step for a 22yr old man lol. Like all of you I had a nostalgia itch that I had to scratch and see if there was some game play to stir up those warm fuzzy childhood feelings I had when I used to play. And surprisingly, NO such clip existed, so here you all are, hope you enjoy!

you rule for this. I’m also a 23 year old collector! I didn’t play this game but I’m obsessed with generation girls. The game I rly want to play again is barbie magic hair styler! Have had little luck with getting it to work, I think it would be super glitchy too.

Thanks so much for making this!! It's so insane to look back at the games we played as kids. I remember there being way more to this game!! But most of all, I remember listening to the CD on car rides back home from my grandma's house 🤣 I wonder if it's possible to rip the music they dance to during practice to make instrumentals for covers of the songs...

I still have the disc somewhere. But it'd crash all the time haha. Had to run in compatibility mode or switch colors to 256 get it to work. XD Loved it so much but was sad bc no Mari! We needed the asian engineer with the math symbols on her shirt I mean :p c'mon Mattel. You were missing part of the representation xp

I remember playing this! I also remeyby dad updating our windows software to Windows 98 and I could no longer play this game because it was for Windows 95! I was constantly at a neighbor's house playing it since she still had Windows 95! So much fun! The glitching might be from the software! I remember it had no issues with Windows 95 but I just couldn't play it on Windows 98. Maybe that helps?

Hey, I followed this guy's tutorial, he walks you though everything ( kzbin.info/www/bejne/foC7opp3gdWhb6M ). Just make sure to follow every step and you should get it running. Once you get it running you can download the .iso disc image file from this site under the software section ( archive.org/ ) as well as other Barbie games from that era! This is the site I used (it's safe), and it archives a lot including old barbie websites! Hope I could help!

I used many iso, have installed the game, but when I am in the danse studio, mouse cursor and graphics of the danse cards are missing. After that, i have uninstal the game, and now try to re install the game but it's impossible. Strange.

No this was a CD-ROM game you'd buy in the stores. I'm pretty sure Flash was only for games online like barbie.com They make a program for PC called Flashpoint that allows you to download old flash games from the web though.
