I've found having a fnix tank or harvester when I spawn a reaper works to my favor bc they'll actually fight each other and let you get free shots off

@@alexsteckman7825 I’ve always had to hit the machine with a hacking dart before it attacks the reaper. It’s great until the reaper does its hyperbaric out gassing.
