Honestly that's actually disappointing that you CAN'T. Like it'll actually feel weird to me that the G1 colored Siege one, the OTHER G2 colored Siege one, and the TR mold in G2 Hero colors can all do it but for some reason THE G2 MEGATRON can't

So I saw a baltmatrix video and in the video you can take the screw out of the tank barrel sword shield thing and once you do that you have a tank barrel and a sword that megatron can properly hold but you can tab the tank barrel on the backpack so it looks like a shoulder cannon. BUT we shouldn’t have to dismantle just to get a close enough accurate look hasbro 1 small part for the shoulder cannon come on now

It is a really nice figure that gives me all the nostalgias; G2 Megs was the first and only Megatron I had for a long time so that weird purple and green monster will always have a special place in my heart. thank you thew for these amazing recveiws has really got my love for transformers back (37 oxford uk resident here so can remember going to wollworths and seeing all the g1 classics and not having the money to get any but now can indulge in my choices as been collecting m.a.s.k for a while now and tbh time to start on transformers) with your reviews keeping me sane thrpough brexit and the lockdowns byu god the lockdowns i've recently decided that a £50 amazon gift card xmas present would be best spent on a new transformer to begin my collection and decided to get gigawatt (yess i know is overpriced for what it is but bttf and transformers is my childhood much like your's im guessing) keep it up and as soon as i can i'll be becoming a glad patreon to a channel that has helped me through these darkest of times :D

You can slightly fake the the shoulder Cannon, if you take the leg bridge off the blade thing, you can use the peg hinge to angle the cannon over his shoulder using the port on the back

the bump on the barrel of the tank cannon is a bore evacuator, it pulls harmful fumes from the gun barrel after firing to make sure the gasses dont reach the crew cabin

There are a ton of folks who made their own fixes for the lack of a shoulder mounting mechanism. Some 3d Printer on ebay even made a set that partsforms the pectoral plumage of the original and fills the empty parts of the tank in vehicle mode.

Yeah, it really brings down the remold. Like Thew said, the Siege version works because it can collapse into a sword, but the Earthrise version of the barrel extension just as this blade on it to fill the same gap in the tank mode, so it both doesn't work as a Robot Mode weapon AND prevents the cannon from being able to elevate in Tan Mode!

Before I saw it close up, I thought that orange speckle pattern on the turret was loads of G2 autobot symbols he’d etched into himself to keep a tally of how many he’d obliterated, fighter pilot-style. In my defence, a big neon kill count is VERY G2.

I grabbed this the other week from kapow Toys. My first Generations figure and also my first not Beast Wars Megatron. It's a pretty neat figure. There was a couple of awkward moves in the transformation, mostly the heat and arms parts, that took me a second to figure out but I got there. Although I did get his head stuck inside his chest first time and had to sort of stab it back through with some scissors. All good now. So.... when are we getting a whole range of G2 inspired gaudy boys. Surely Kingdom will have room for a few.

I got the the normal earth Megatron and when it comes to the sword / second gun I left that bit in the box picked up a megatronus prime master from the Entertainer for £4.50 put it on his side arm so it now has the Fusion Canon in one arm and a really good looking claw weapon in the other and the colour scheme matches really well

It is a good time to be a Megatron fan. As well as some of the best G1 Megatron figures we've ever had, we've gotten two badass G2 recolours, Beast Wars Megatron right around the corner looking like the second coming of Primus, and even a freaking Super Megatron toy (like, who honestly saw that coming?). They're really trying to pick out every single corner of the Megatron legacy, and I am here for it. I honestly wouldn't be surprised by this point if they announced a brand new RID Megatron with all six modes included.

btw, cliffjumper’s smaller blaster attached to megs’s back can perfectly attach the fusion cannon to his backpack. yea, it sucks hasbro didn’t add anything for it but i get it. honestly thew, both of our sets of complaints w/ this figure is the fact it’s just a straight up redeco of er megs w/ nothing new to make it stand out more (not like green and purple camo stands out enough). interestingly, i looked at every single megatron to ever come out and decided this one to be my first. hoping to get the united nerf gun soon but it’s VERY unlikely and the gen selects one just pops, perfect for the center of my display alongside er prime.

I've got a purple g2 tank megatron, without a cannon. I think it came with some ghastly water pistol gizmo. I've been looking out for a replacement part, but even unarmed he stI'll looks awesome. I bought it with 12 seconds to go on Ebay without reading it, so for year I thought he was headless as well, until one day I found the cannon mount slid sideways to reveal a head! Happy days!

the lack of shoulder cannon is such a shame, but the colours are delicious and the extra dash of orange in the vehicle really is that perfect 90's flavour... it's a missed opportunity but i might buy it anyway. i'm not as much of a megatron addict but i do like G2 and i do have the other G2 repaint so it'd be a nice pair.

Been seriously considering this one Amazon as I never got a Siege Megatron nor ever had a G2 Megatron but have as wanted one. Had literally no idea this retool was two years old already as it just popped up as an exclusive. Bot mode is wonderfully proportionate, and the tank mode authentic to the G2 design and functional though smaller seems like a solid buy though LC expensive. Sad they cheapened out on the sword accessory whereas the Siege version looked somewhat functional/useful. Now all Hasbro needs to do is release voyager Jiaxus in proper colors and reissue Earthwise Prime with a black trailer, and massive peg in guns.

There is a fan-made shoulder brick that lets either cannon peg on top, but it's sold from the US so shipping it to the UK is going to cost a lot and with the pandemic slowing things down, might take a long time to arrive. Domestic US mail is pretty bad right now as it is...

Been a fan of Megatron's G2 design since its debut in G.I. JOE. As part of of an upgrade, technology exchange with COBRA. Although the shoulder mounted rail gun's absence is quite noticeable.
