10:00 - actually, logistics functions are rarely used anymore, instead, a much simpler and more effective function called ReLU (rectified linear unit) is standard today, or some variation thereof.

Yea, after 2012 I get wary of all type of hype. Mobile was the last true thing. Look at SBF, took half the world on a ride with tech that now one really new what to do with. Thanks for the value ❤.

There is the memorization effect and in gpt 4 a large part of an Harry Potter book came out of it. So the explanation is that Harry Potter is in large part just the next most probable Word?

I always found Rodney Brooks to be a very down to earth engineer, not a "scholar" in quite the way you suggest. He's trying to explain to you how it works and put that into some context. It's an enormously good talk actually.
