@@tomnorman457 you’re welcome. I really like it and I probably have a good chance of using it this year. Hurricanes headed to the Gulf of Mexico already!

Buckling down for hurricane Beryl. Had no idea these covers existed.

How do you get the crisscross straps tight enough to fit on the Generator handles? Mine tend to slip around.

@@deannamcclure2268 mine do the same thing.

When running it do you have to flip up the exhaust flap or can you just leave it loose?
@happy_hartshornes6 ай бұрын
@@wr1039 I would flip it up. Haven’t run it yet with the cover on but probably should flip the flap up.
@narcissistectomy51346 ай бұрын
@@wr1039 If you run it with the flap down, the generator’s carbon monoxide sensor will shut it down really quick. For anyone in the future trying to improvise a fast DIY rain solution, Im going through hurricane Beryl LITERALLY right now. For reference, Im using a Firman dual-fuel generator, 8500W gasoline, 7500W propane…. I made a makeshift rain tent for it with a large tarp and huge tent stakes, pup-tent style. I got a couple of small pieces of plywood and put on top of the generator to prevent water from pooling on the gas tank. The tarp mostly covers the outlet side, but not completely because I need to get my hands up in there. The intake-side is covered, as well as the backside (opposite the outlets). Initially I had the exhaust side partially closed to try and help shield the electronics, but the carbon monoxide sensor shut it down. I had to reconfigure it so the exhaust side is mostly open, and staked the tarp down as close as possible to the electronic side.

How’s it going? Is it bad? Lots of rain?

Would that cover come off easy and store it on a wall?
