Just wanted to update and add that the power finally came back on last night here in Kentucky. I ran this Pulsar generator for around 115 hours straight and it ran perfect! Changed the oil at around 110 hours, but that was it. Highly recommend this generator- especially for the price.

Been without power for 24 hours now and I've been running th8s very generator for 20ish hours. Working great! Running refrigerator, wood burning stove fan, TV, internet, charging phones, 400 Watt chicken heater. No problems so far.

Last hurricane I ran my full size refrigerator with this generator. I would plug the refrigerator in with the eco mode off, and after a few minutes, switch it back to eco. I had no problem running it and pretty much ran at idle the whole time, even when the compressor kicked back on. I did this for three days and it always started first pull, and ran like a champ.

Aussie Dave in PA here Gavin,... Thanks, I was waiting for this one :) This unit is the best value around for sure. Not too long ago I paid $500 for the same size Champion & now I see this Pulsar on line for $360 AND with low interest financing ! A whole house unit is nice but I installed a 30amp Generator Inlet to the outside wall of my kitchen & a 20 amp outlet on the inside which is not connected to the house wiring so I can run the fridge & chest freezer plus Internet Modem/Router,... This was simple & only about $70 to do :)

You can easily start and run a small portable A/C unit. The ones on wheels with the big hot air vent hoses. Easily cools one room in your house, so it‘s a great backup when needed

Thank you. Someone actually put a inductive load on one of these generators. inductive load = electric motor. So many power inverters are junk, yes this unit has a power inverter in it, So often the voltage is out of phase with the current, and motors will not run right, if at all, with this out of phase condition. Most reviews are "unboxing" "look at my new toy". If they do test it, it is with resistive loads(heaters, light bulbs, and not one that will push the limits of the unit. Again I thank you.

Awesome review! I was searching to see if you had a review of the pulsar 2200W dual fuel model, but didn't find it. I read some reviews saying the 2200W dual fuel model isn't pure sine wave and was hoping to see you test one. I trust your reviews more than most other KZbin reviewers! Also, for your future reviews you should mention if draining the carburetor bowl is an easy process. I've been on the fence about generators because I live in an HOA and we're not allowed to have generators. But I'm hoping a small 2XXX watt unit it small/quiet enough to go unnoticed.

You don’t have to worry about the HOA in natural disasters they can’t stop you from supplying your family with power. I do believe that the 2200 is a pure sine wave inverter.

I think all these 2000W generators in the same price bracket are all the same internally, just a few changes cosmetically to the front face plate and may a couple small feature differences. Why not just buy the cheapest copy, being this one. Why not just pull the covers off so everyone can see what the difference is?

It’s interesting the Honda 2200i has a 130cc motor and this has 80cc. Guessing the Honda has motor starting ooomph with the larger displacement and more rotating inertia.

There's only one thing that scares me about this generator and it has nothing to do about its capability. I know it looks cool but that's the problem. I'm afraid I'd have to chain it down with a ton of chain because it's so white and attention grabbing. Guess you could always camo it with paint and/or a wrap.
