To those defending Augustine, I kinda understand what you mean, but regardless the way she went about helping the conduits was awful. Lets go back to the beginning of the game. While trying to get information of Hank, she attacks and tortures Delsin's tribe. That's unacceptable, and needs to be punished. Lets go to when she killed Reggie. She had no reason to, other than he was in the way. Conduits can be accepted into the world, but not everyone will like that. Having them all pinned up in a cage where they do experiements on them is inhumane, and just plain disgusting. Can't they just enforce Conduits not to use their powers in public? It wouldn't scare people, and the baddies would disappear for it. Much better way to handle this than putting everyone in a cage.

Then there's a chance some conduits may not be able to control their powers or have a power that is too powerful for anyone to have. Cole got so powerful, he could time travel.

If Cole would have spoken to her I am sure she would have never been like this. I think Delsin did the right thing, even when he lost his brother which could have made him do bad decisions. He stood even stronger for justice. I feel people ignore or fail to see Delsins character development progression there. In the beginning he was yes, a deliquent. But then he starts seeing the bigger picture and becomes more selfless than he could have ever imagined. He can lead, unlike her.

Probably my favorite thing about Infamous is that while they show that Conduits should be treated fairly, they also don't pretend that normal people have every right to fear them. EDIT: To back up this point: -Conduits are highly resistant to damage, where they can take more than enough bullets to kill someone and be fine 30 seconds later. -Conduits also tend to have plenty of incredible powers, well suited for killing. -They were introduced to the world in a massive explosion (the Empire City Ray Sphere blast) -There is a heavy implication that the Government is using Conduits to justify a police state. -One Conduit (The Beast) caused untold destruction to the Eastern Seaboard. -Many Conduits appear to be mentally unstable to some degree (Sasha, Alden Tate and Nix come to mind).

It was based off both endings, not the good ending only. It’s directly quoted in the game that there was a massive war between conduits and the military. It’s quoted literally in this video. If this was based only the good ending of infamous, the DUP wouldn’t exist and there wouldn’t be any mention of a war. How they take from both endings is up for debate but I have a few ideas. The good ending parts are: Cole did Die and ended the plague, stopped the beast and also Zeke lived. The evil ending parts are: there was a war between conduits and the military, a lot of conduits were made because of the blast from John transferring his power to cole. It’s not specified what parts are taken but it’s not just one ending, if that was the case like I said, There wouldn’t be any mention of a war between Conduits and the Military and there wouldn’t be that many conduits since the RFI killed all the conduits on the planet and cured the plague.

Augustine never had the chance to fully become what she could. Many people also misunderstand her, but I realised her: She is not like Bertrand, while she seems like it. She chrishes conduit lives(She said so herself: Ever since the D.U.P. was made, not a single conduit taken in was killed), but she can't care less about human ones(Considering her story, it's logical. Seeing how she tortured the Akomish even if Delsin told her he was a conduit, how she didn't care when she killed Reggie). Now, you may ask why she was exprimenting on conduits and making them feared. I think that she was planning to begin a war(Like most of her sentences at the start, "We're at a war with these Bio-Terrorists" is not straight forward.). We're at a war with these Bio-Terrorists when decoded might mean: A) We - referring to herself and someone around her, which is probably Delsin. They're both conduits. B) With - When you're in a war, you say against, not with. Unless you're on the same side with them... Seeing her background story made me understand her. That exprience screwed her up so much that she hates humanity as a whole. In First Light we see how she TRAINS Fetch. She was litearly training her how to use her powers to fight. And not just fight, fight humans. She even made D.U.P. hard light holograms among them. Hank - I think that when she saw how he betreyed his kind for his daughter, she knew that he wasn't worthy to continue, showing how the D.U.P.s said that they're only hunters, and attempted to kill Hank. Besides, leaving him like that? That is not Augustine, unless she's angry. We see it when she leaves Delsin and hurts him when he reffers to his powers being a disease(He says he catched it) and in this case with Hank. Celia - Celia was a scared little girl, turned socipathic murderer in Curdrun Cay. Augustine allowed her and asked her to kill Naomi. She did horrible things as evidanced in Paper Trail. Celia saw Augustine like a mother, and she turned her to what she is. Hell, she even said so: "You showed us that if anyone should fear, it's them!". Augustine is an amazing character that never got her time to blossom into what she could be. Edit: A few more things: Augustine locked conduits up to protect them, like how a parent protects its child. When the world outside is filled with people who wanna kill you, and you exprienced it, you don't want your children and brothers to be in it, right? The government wanted to shut down her D.U.P. before she was finished. She engineered a breakout just to buy her some time. And who did she sent? The 3 ready conduits we know about in Curdrun Cay: Hank that was expriemented on, Fetch that we know who was trained personally, Eugene who was pushed to his limits and then found out his powers have no limits and later event sent out Celia, who was already a killer.

While the RFI did kill a large majority of Conduits, especially overseas and was even shown in the ending of Infamous 2, according to this game out somehow didn't kill all of them. Augustine for example, was one of the soldiers that was trying to stop the Beast as it made its way down the East Coast, but survived along with the little girl. In the wake of the Beast's destruction and the events in Infamous 2, a massive witch hunt took place to hunt down any Conduit both the civilians and the military can find and kill them, as shown when the military aimed their weapons at Augustine. It's a mess, I know, but that's how it is.

What is interesting is how Delsin pauses after Augustine makes her offer, telling him how the military might just go back to killing Conduits without the D.U.P. around. And for a moment, he considers it. Because he knows it's entirely possible, she's not entirely wrong. He's seen the prejudice Conduits get just for being suspected, and that without restraint, the military may just start killing and not deal with the hassle of bringing them in. It's a risk for sure, is the world even ready to embrace Conduits? Or will they just be turned on once more? But he ultimately knows that whatever good intentioned place she's coming from, she's wrong, and he has to stop her. She's gone too far, lost her way, and has to be brought down. Even if it means risking a return to the "good ol' days," because he believes things will be different this time.

So Augustine got to essentially see what Bertrand wanted. I feel like this story line isnt connected to the other 2 games because according to sucker punch the ending they chose as canon was the good one since most players chose it the first time around. The original plan was to have the bad ending be the canon one where cole becomes the beast and it more lines up with this game of how the military try to eliminate them, and how powers can be given by other conduits(the beast mainly). So it seems like a conjunction between the 2 of both what bertrand wanted and the beast ending from infamous 2

callum oliver delsin had to fight with the boss battles with their own power (eugene boss battle was an exception, also first augustine boss battle)... remember how it happened with hank and fetch? delsin first absorbed their power (or copied, like sharingan) then fought with them with the powers he gained

I decided to play this game with evil karma and got a different ending. By the way, I'm gonna play every inFAMOUS game as evil karma now. The second I heard the words "And now Empire City... is dead." I turned to darkness, not giving two shits about peace and happiness. All I know is darkness. Darkness, red powers and evil.
