@@learnbiblicalgreek316 I personally believe that there is a growing desire to learn the biblical/koine Greek, but not using Erasmian pronounciation. I never knew about the Judeo-Greek. That's interesting. I think we need someone who will pronounce the phrases slowly, in "chunks". What is your goal with this channel? What is your background in these languages? Thank you for responding, and for these videos! Also, even if you did one verse at a time and very slowly enunciated each syllable clearly first, a word or phrase at a time. Then read it at normal speed. Sometimes it's hard for beginners to really clearly hear what you are saying, because you're speaking at normal speed, and all of the words are running together. Thank you!

@@JaxCover In my "About" description, I say, "The purpose of this channel is to teach the Greek of the Septuagint (LXX) and the New Testament. As Modern Greek developed from Hellenistic / Koine Greek, I often make comparisons." I am a native Greek-speaker in a dialect that still retains a number of archaisms. Have you tried listening to the videos at slower speeds? In future videos I can do as you suggest. It is good to hear how each word is pronounced slowly and clearly. In "connected speech" words are pronounced differently than when spoken slowly and in isolation. If you want to speak a language fluently then you should eventually learn how words are pronounced in connected speech and spoken at normal conversational speed.

@@learnbiblicalgreek316 I'm a total beginner, so maybe this is for intermediate students. I agree about connected speech. But I think it helps newcomers to hear the word clearly and slowly at first. Then, after saying it several times, one will start to pronounce the words and phrases faster and faster. So you want to teach us Koine... I liked the format Joseph Neill used, but he only did a few videos. Could you possibly do a method like that? That might be too much work for you, but is a method that I feel would yield the most success. I think that immersion into the language is the way to go. When you read the Greek text to us, there is still no word for word English equivalent provided until the end of the video, so we are not learning what the Greek words MEAN. However, we really appreciate you taking time out to even read to us so that we know how to pronounce the words. Is there any way that you could teach us the language the way a child would learn it?
