Love your lessons!!! I am learning so much biblically and personally Thank you.. I just found skip and his teachings! I am going to listen to every lesson he gave on chapter by chapter verse by verse until the day I die or until Jesus comes .., I am going through these lessons diligently back to back !!!i have read through the Bible yearly for 15 years I have been a Bible teacher myself and spent numerous hours studying and hovering and yes studied the greats spurgeon John Newton I’ve read pilgrims progress John Bunyan twice and daily refer to situations in my life as a pilgrim .. going through skips lessons is icing on my cake to make me a better witness and applier of Gods word!!!

Tamar knew she had to keep the bloodline pure, Judah having married outwith his tribe, therefore the sons were the problem, hence God killed them. When Judah's wife died and Shelah had come of age, Tamar knew what she had to do. Tamar must have been a pure bloodline. Just like Noah, who was righteous in his generation, Judah actually tells us Tamar was righteous also, more so than himself who had not kept his generation pure.

Why didn't you mention all the violence, sex, rape and incest in Genesis 38. You skipped all the good stuff.

You must’ve not watched it. He covered the entire chapter and talked about how it’s was a contrast to chapter 39 and Joseph’s righteousness. Judah sinned and followed the ways of the world, while Joseph was thrusted into the world and did not sin, but was faithful to God
