Genesis 4.6 vs Tuned SHO + Genesis 5.0-Rolls!

The Ultimate Muscle Sedan Sleeper Battle??
Another awesome night out at Showtime Dragstrip! Cruising home with a couple guys in the MT Crew including a stock Genesis 5.0 R Spec and a newly tuned Taurus SHO and just having a little fun. After the SHO ran 8.2s and 8.3s all night in the 8th (vs my Genesis 4.6 8.9s) we wanted to see how they stack up on a roll knowing this is the Genesis strong suit and the weak point of the SHO. Basically a dead heat. Genesis 5.0 went late but still hung with us no problem.

Yessir. It is a MUST. and try to match your gear so you are around 4-4500 RPMs upon takeoff.

Yes it's a must. Hell my car doesn't even have manual mode and I use manual mode! Most definitely a must!

@@727sho2 yeah I think that's why the 5.0 fell back to start with was for that reason. Maybe try manual and D-S next time and see which works best. I don't have Sport it's only D or manual for me

@@motortoys9942 that’s what I got is a 3.8 it’s quick but mid range is is mrs biggest struggle it seems like but ever since I did. A res delete feels like it pulls a lot harder for some reason I like it tho...I will say the 8 speed made a difference because mine has the 8 speed iv drivin the 6 speed v6 before and I can tell a pretty noticeable difference

The 5.0 is absolutely faster. Few factors, I know my car very well he is still learning all the ins and outs of his. Biggest thing here is he left it in drive and didn't hear the honks so he went late. Trust me, the 5.0 is no joke, but when cars are relatively close, leaving it in drive or going a couple seconds later on a honk can make a big difference! 👍🤣 Stay tuned lot more of the 5.0 coming!

@@yeralvidal2360 yessir don't get it twisted bro the 5.0 is by no means slower! I also think he had a passenger so I think he let off a lil early. But yeah man you won't be sorry. 4.6 holds it's own tho.
