3:08 WOW! This car sounds much deeper and powerful since the last time I have seen these videos. And that is before the headers are installed. I remember hearing it with the ISR exhaust from videos a few months ago, which are the exhaust I would like to get. But this sounds completely different. I must have missed something.

Love the sound of your car! I know a ton of people love their cars being SUUUUPER loud. For me, I want my Genesis to BE fast before it looks/ sounds fast. I don't want to sound the part and then get smoked lol so I'd probably do a mod like this after I'd already gotten my Genny to a faster state but either way love the content and hope you don't get too tired of the drone! That is why I went ARK but if you’d like something a little louder then SOLO is right there. I just like ARK’s approach. My 3.8 is quiet from 1-3krpm with little to no drone which means when I start pulling, THEN she roars when she starts opening up.

For drone you can do the H pipe mod. H pipe mod on the down pipes. For the check engine you can buy one of those bungs for the o2 sensor and it should make it go away. I haven’t straight piped my gen but my 350 has headers and no cats too. The o2 bung made it not throw a code.

I’ve a 15 3.8 as well but I gutted my cats instead of putting on aftermarket headers and my CEL came on after 2-3 days. Also add a muffler or vibrant resonators (1-2) and you’ll instantly feel a different in TQ as you don’t have any back pressure right now. Alsooooo if you want you should try going 30-40 mph and rev it in neutral and you’ll shoot flames 👀

OBX & NGM are the only headers with increased top end gains guys. The 3rd option is discontinued from what I was told today. However 3point8 performance is making headers. They will be Port matched which is great. I don’t know the ETA on those but I know for a fact they will be the best quality and hp gains headers on the market as 3p8 has a good rep with performance mods/quality

With the final stage of the restriction removed.... did you feel any stronger pull in the rpm range? Heat wrap headers and custom H-pipe will quiet down the car as well get rid of the rasp. You answered my question on headers for me though! With 85% of the time I drive it is between 2-3k rpm and that is the loudest of the drone, I guess no headers for me. Great vid man!

As of right now i have a full catless setup on ngm headers and it gets very raspy.When i drive i have to shift at 2k rpm to beat the rasp but its only between 2-3k rpms I added a huge resonater and it helped alot

I also had a somewhat bad experience with GC Tuner ordered a catback exhaust, it took almost a month to arrive. I sent multiple emails barely got one one back after a week. When the part arrived it was wrong they sent me no name headers, I sent more emails another week goes by they tell me if send pictures of the headers and pay for shipping they would take it back. I just kept them because I was tired of the bullshit. Their customer service is horrible

Great video! I wished someone made headers for the gen2 Genesis Sedan 3.8. If you're looking to quiet her down a little bit and with less drone, you might want to consider the Vibrant Ultra Quiet Resonators/Mufflers. They are a perfect size, T304 SS and very well constructed! You can see them installed on my car at my channel's video "Genesis 3.8 Exhaust & Mods (part 2)" @ 4:22 & 5:02.

Rasp: make your own custom H pipe mod on the downpipe and test pipes or have a shop do it for you. Eliminates ALL rasp. Resonators: arents yours stock? So if you swapped them it would only get louder, but could potentially handle rasp better. I'd proceed with caution. Catback: all in all if you need it quieter, you can just get a new catback. The ARK Grip is the best option when it comes to being quieter, deeper, and eliminates rasp better than most. But costs a lot as well. Just totaled my car after 1 month of my grip being installed 💀

PJ Morrison defoulers are gonna throw an o2 sensor code. That code is basically gonna day it’s not getting any activity from the o2 sensors. I had it on after my tune as well, but once I took out the defoulers (after months) and cleared the code, it never came back up.

I put my headers on myself... It is not an easy job! But yes! My car is almost too loud. And it always pops on the down shifts. I have the same isr race exhaust and cnt headers and downpipes. I had to take the test pipes off and put the cats back on cuz it was too raspy

Main reason I didn't get the OBX is because I already have the secondary cats deleted, No I still haven't flipped the winglets lol I kinda like how they look but I'm sure it'd look even better the proper way, and Headers + Install cost about $1050 so $550 sounds about right they quoted me that but it ended up costing $482

It was the first time I refilled since I drove back from ls fest and since it was 3 hours of interstate driving I was averaging like 28mpg so when I filled up it technically would get about 380 total at 28mpg but next time I refill it'll go back to like 280, that's only the second time I've seen it say that much

Get some resonators. If you install a catalytic converter with your pop and bang tune you are going to destroy your cats, they aren't meant to have fire going thru them. A couple resonators will cut the drone down
