Scary, wonder if the motor will hold up, most daily-ed turbo 3.8s give out at 8psi

He’s at 10 psi now on e50 or e40 I believe. These videos were taken almost a year ago or so just barley have time for editing these days.

@@ProdigePerformancein all honesty with the turbo kit on my bk2 3.8 am I gonna eventually blow something up, I’ve heard so many mixed reviews that it can be very reliable or it’s a ticking time bomb

Hey man, appreciate the posts! You’re way more knowledgeable than I am on these cars so here goes. What would it take to get the “Stu-Stu-Stu” compressor surge on this exact kit? Thanks again.

Deleting your blow off valve.

I have a 2015 coupe 3.8 with 91k miles on it and I was thinking about getting this kit. I’ve heard things about needing to rebuild the engine. Would that be necessary? Or would it be fine?
@ProdigePerformance Жыл бұрын
The 5 3.8 gens I’ve put a turbo kit on have all lasted more than 1-2 years already with 5-8 psi of boost. The horror stories I hear from others are the ones that neglect their engines. And don’t maintenance their engines properly
@ProdigePerformance Жыл бұрын
That being said, on stock block. No rebuild or upgraded internals are needed

@@ProdigePerformanceI’m having the same worries I blew the turbos in my vr30 and it was a nightmare so I’m trying not to make the same mistake twice. A buddy of mine ls swapped his genny and said in his opinion it’s a better route for power then the turbo
@ProdigePerformance8 ай бұрын
@@TheHTownDog ls swapping is the better route. I’ve put together a ls3 swap for a local gen with basic bolt ons and a sedan rear end and it ended up being in total $16k for everything But it’s reliable af and makes 488 wheel all day
