Aging is a natural part of life. So is diminishing health. But, you embrace it, do the best you can...then press on. At this stage of his life, Phil's disabled. But, he's still active and relevant. And as a disabled person myself, that's all that any of us can hope for. An opportunity, understanding...and full acceptance. Perhaps this sets the stage for other disabled performers (actors, singers, etc.) to do the same. Because none of us will live forever, and none of will be 20 again. This is a real landmark moment...and I think it's very, very cool!

You know, you have changed my mind! I was going to say once I get this song, someone please tell me to retire! I am almost 53 now and no eventually I am going to play all blues and bring my voice down song! Thank your dad for sure no problem it is true about being disabled! I am blind, and of course no one wants to drive around all my equipment since I can’t! I’ve been in a few with pumpkins! And I play and sing out on the streets and Seattle damn near every day! ….and some people just age better than others. Both Mike and Tony are Phil’s age and they looked great. That being said, it was awesome seeing and hearing Phil and he was still fully capable of bringing the spirit and voice to the only Genesis show I’ll ever get to see. As a fellow drummer, I would have loved to have seen him play drums but that’s not in the cards anymore….and that’s alright. I will be forever grateful that I got to see him at all….and his son Nick was amazing!

Well said, I have both mental and physical health problems, I do feel sad when looking at Phil but that's because I'm a soppy empath as well, I'm glad he's not given up and is still writing, singing and touring, music is so important to a lot of people both those who make it and those who listen to it, it can help us mentally. He's a top bloke and him still doing his music is inspiring, I'm going to see about getting a keyboard next year, I would prefer drums but I can't do that due to fibromyalgia, so I'm going to give the keyboard a go :)

Many people talking about Phil's voice, but some things have to be considered about that : - Phil's range today it's the same as Peter. The difference is the tone, while Peter has a deep hoarse voice (which is great), Phil has a more opened nasal tone, which also is great. - Phil has never been primarily a singer itself. He was a drummer which had to move on vocals after Peter's departure, doing the thing in the way he could (and his vocal range supported) after all these years, now he's 70 years old perfoming a vocal demanding material from years which his vocals were more high and youth, from 30/40 years old. - Phil now has a extra factor limiting his increased perfomance : he's singing while seated, which is something REALLY dificult to maintain tones and ranges, mainly due lungs compressed as he sits, an even greater difficulty for vocally difficult material like the Genesis catalogue. Even with all these topics going on, he's nailing it!! I really think that the "fans" should stop looking for faults, problems and other issues and appreciate the music he sings and all these material that he, Tony, Mike (and Peter and Steve too) have produced all these years. Unfortunately this is one of the last times we'll see them play on stage, so that's already epic. Genesis FOREVER!!!!
