Others might have used three, or maybe four, chords under what is a quite a simple melody, but Banks elevates the song to a whole new level with a sequence of beautiful changes. Masterful.

One of the things that stood out to me quite early was Genesis' next-level lyrics: narration of very mature contemporary real-life issues with such style. I absolutely love the melodies, the harmonies...Ofcourse, I am always especially listening to the keyboards...Tony Banks' indelible marks on these tracks are such a delight! I guess what I am trying to say is that the level of song-craft is quite exceptional IMHO. What a delight to see Tony Banks performing live!

Para mi también es el mejor teclista de la historia del rock, por su increíble maestría tocando, sus extraordinarios acordes fuera de lo normal, dando como resultado esa armonía inconfundible made in Genesis, esto es música de primera categoría, gracias a Tony, gracias a Genesis me han aportado mucho y siempre han sido mi referencia desde que comencé en los años 70, sobre todo en la etapa con Peter Gabriel.

Another pure Genesis masterpiece. Watching a closeup of Tony's work during this song is, as always, a sight to behold. The only version that would be more epic to watch than this live one, would be one of a studio "cam version", wherein I would get to see my boy Phil playing drums on the song, all while being accompanied by Tony's epic work on the keyboards.

Para mi, Tony Banks es mejor tecladista que haya escuchado dentro del rock y música moderna. Recomiendo ver los (varios) cambios de manos que hace en el teclado en 2:27, 2:50, 4:42, 5:06, entre otros. Admiro a ese músico.

Totalmente de acuerdo contigo!!!... sobre todo porque vos escuchas dos o tres compaces de cualquier tema y sabes qué es Banks!!!... y eso, trabajando con instrumentos ya preseteados de fábrica como son los teclados electrónicos es un enorme logro!!!... habrá otros que vuelan a mil kilómetros por hora sobre el teclado pero la buena música no se trata de eso!!!... desde qué era un adolescente este músico me enseñó lo qué es el arte de hacer música, o sea cuando la MÚSICA deja de ser un deporte de competición y se transforma en un ARTE sublime!!!

The keyboards used are: - Roland Jd-800 - Korg M1 - Ensoniq SD-1

Not an M1. It's a Korg Wavestation. There's also a Rhodes MK 80 Digital Piano. The JD, the Rhodes and the Ensoniq went away when the Roland A-90 88-Note controller and the Korg OASYS came along, and those 3 keyboards were his setup in 2007, but I think he updated to the A90EX after the A90 got rained on at Katowice, Poland. He also had a boatload of rack gear as well. The OASYS and rack gear are what you hear- there's no sounds coming out of the keyboards on his right. All of his custom sounds and samples are on either the Emulator IV, or the custom Proteus modules he had burned by E-Mu. ..Joe
