What about epigenetics? Could environmental influences like a healthy diet switch on genes that promote intelligence?

Peter Attia says working out an average of 7 hours per week has a profound effect on brain health/focus. Over sleep and diet. Although all are important.

Pairs of twins always pass for the same school. Cause they share 100% genetic information. I went to a all boys secondary school and we frequently saw twins. This school is the best secondary school in my country. Learning is MOSLTY genetic. I would say a 60% 40% split between genes and environment respectively. That’s just me being conservative😂

Jay Joseph has been a prominent critic of twin studies. Worth looking into.

I see 2 options (that aren't mutually exclusive): 1) You might have some "issue" outside intelligence that makes you perform worse (distraction, dedication, your school might be harder/worse, maybe you don't care about education much at this stage of your life, you might be doing drugs,...) 2) You might indeed be less intelligent than they are. How do you feel that your intelligence relates to theirs? Do you think that intellectual/abstract things come more or less easily to you than them? In my case, my father and I are significantly more intelligent than my mother and my sister, yet I never handed in my Bachelors thesis (though I did otherwise complete the Bachelors), while my sister has a Bachelors and MBA. I didn't care too much about good results in school, smoked weed and learned a lot of things outside school and only got more serious about work and money in the recent years. On the other hand, I don't feel that my sister would have been able to pass my Computer Science education or some other hard science degree due to lack of analytical ability.

*It depends on your gender cause I am hearing that cleverness in males are determined by the mother cause key genes for intellect and brain development are clustered on the X chromosome and males can only get their X from their mother.* *The X chromosome is three times bigger than the y chromosome from your dad so it holds more genetic information* kzbin.info/www/bejne/p2jHfJeehbmIqcU kzbin.info/www/bejne/g5mxgWSbo6p5ick

im very skeptical about judging the source of intelligence scientifically, intelligence is so subjective and difficult to judge
