In India mainly Two universities is currently offering Genetics in UG level. GNDU University Amritsar Punjab , MAKAUT University West Bengal. There will be an entrence examination for admissions in to Genetics ( H ) , Human Genetics.

Yes , you are right most of the people don't know about it. If you are really passionate about genetics definitely you will be in greater side in future. It's better to take Honours In Genetics ( means only 3 years studying of Genetics ) is the best , Rather than Any combination with Genetics.
