How well would Dusknoir do in an Exeggutor deck? Put a Rocky Helmet onto it, heal off damage with Erika and Potions, maybe Shaymin as well, and when it's about to faint you heal all damage, as if you played Koga, but better. And you could consider running Celebi as well since you'll generate a lot of otherwise unused energy

I’ve played different variants of gengar dusknoir, most of the time played 1 line of dusknoir aswell (people need to play around more with single evo lines in decks, pokecom makes this very viable) if you get gengsr and dusknoir it’s often just won at this point, it’s like one of the strongest lategame combos possible because with gengar they can’t sabrina or cyrus. It’s super fun

This deck is so inconsistent. Not sure how you’re getting wins at higher levels of play. When one of us tries to test it even against lower tier deck we’re destroying it before you could possibly get both evolution lines up. As much as I’ve wanted a gengar deck to work, it just doesn’t.

With the usual time you’d expect to have Dusknoir online, your opponent is likely to have their slugger online. Healing 10 hp from all mons is just not a strong enough niche for the goal of this deck

@@jasondahfolf4325for this deck it’s not good but a variant of this using cresselia instead of gengar could easily run shaymin and then with 2 shaymin and cress you are healing cress 40 per turn and dusknoir 20 this allows for more dusk heals keeping cress at full health for longer. It’s probably a better variant of this imo but it’s pure memes for the heals

I have the FA-Foil Yanmega, but the Rainbow one is the nicest, IMO. I tried to get it from a WP, but wasn't happening. I did get a Rainbow Misdreavus, but my only one of those from this set, so far.

My first game with this deck was lucky and fun. Every other game was painful lol. Both dusknoir lines and gengar lines are so useless early game. Speed kills in this game, and if your stage 2 is still relatively underpowered once you get it active, then you can really only succeed if you top deck all 6 early.

@@eddie992 you can just heal it with Dusknoir, then you only give 1 But it doesn't really matter if you give one or 2 cos they have to kill Gengar anyway & can't use Cyrus whilst he's out & Expeditionor also exists

not tanky enough i suspect, with hard cape it only has 160 hp, one genetic apex raichu and your gone, one giovani lucarioed rampardos and its gone... those are the ones on the top of my head right now, but im sure there are others than can one shot 170 but not 190. Me personally, I played dusknoir with gyrados ex giant cape and blue ( i survived charizard and made them rage LOL)

My perspective is just theoretical, but would just like to see how it fares well with grinder first 6 turns (say with Cape and potions), specially with snipe damage from Darkrai Ex. If you're going first (worst scenario), you get snipe from Darkrai Ex first then you heal it, while having a potential early evolve to Dusknoir on the Bench. Cresselia would most likely have a full HP intact by turn 6 or 7 if the other side has no front hitter, or if there is then Dusknoir should have been completed to absorb any HP lost from Cresselia Ex. Nah... with Cresselia Ex' measly 80 atk, maybe it's not worth it. Hahaha. Yep, large HP pool is a must in this competitive meta as large one-shot damage is a win-con.
