As a Mongolian, Lemme say something. There’s huge difference between khan and khagan. “Khagan(ᠬᠠᠭᠠᠨ)” means the King. And “Khan(ᠬᠠᠨ)” is lord or ruler. In that century, there were lot of khans who rules small lands. But Khagan(pronounces “khaan”) is only one in country. Like there’s no two sun, there’s no two Khagan. In Mongolia people call him “Chingis Khagan”

Kubilai Khan got angry, and send thousands of army to attack Singasari Kingdom. Meanwhile, soon after King Krtanegara was death due to rebellion of Prince Jayakatwang from Kediri Kingdom, while King's son in law ( also Nephew ) Raden Wijaya fled to Madura Island and got support from local Duke, Arya Wiraraja. Both Raden Wijaya and Arya Wiraraja, bring hundreds army to attack Prince Jayakatwang in Singasari. In the way to the Singasari, Raden Wijaya met Chinese army who just landed. Raden Wijaya then spoke to the General, and noticed that Chinese army also wants to attack Singasari to kill King Krtanegara, however the Chinese didn't know that the King already dead, therefore Raden Wijaya tricked them to join him, together attack Singasari which the current ruler was Prince Jayakatwang. Both army from Raden Wijaya and Chinese were succeeded kills Prince Jayakatwang and his army. When the war finished, Chinese army build a tend and parties until they were hangover. Raden Wijaya took the opportunity to slaughter all of them. Raden Wijaya then established new kingdom which later became huge empire in Indonesia, called Majapahit.

regarding the relationship of Korea with the Mongolians: 1. after the Mongol invasions (which were actually in 9 phases, and which all happened during the reign of King Gojong), the defeated & devastated Goryeo Dynasty became _quda_ (Mongolian "in-law"), a sort of vassal client state of Yuan; Wonjong's son King Gojong was enthroned with Khublai Khan's help, and in return the succeeding rulers were required to marry Mongolian princesses, while still Crown Prince 2. Wonjong's son King Chungnyeol was the first king of Goryeo to marry a foreigner as primary consort, and their son King Chungseon was the first mixed race Korean ruler, and henceforth all surviving descendants of the Gaeseong Wang clan (the clan of the royal house of Goryeo) will have traces of Mongolian ancestry: two famous Korean descendants include former child actor Wang Seok-hyeon & actress Gianna Jun/Jun Ji-hyun (birth name Wang Ji-hyeon) 3. Princess Jeguk's many names: 3.1. birth name: Borjigin Khutugh Kelmysh (孛兒只斤 忽都魯 揭里迷失) 3.2. Goryeo posthumous name: Queen Jangmok (장목왕후 莊穆王后) 3.3. Yuan posthumous name: Supreme Princess Qiguo (齊國大長公主 "Qiguo _dachanggongzhu_ "; in Korean 제국대장공주 "Jeguk _daejanggongju_ ") 4. the penultimate king of Goryeo, King Gongmin, was the last Goryeo ruler to marry a Mongolian princess, Borjigin Budašri, commonly known as "Grand Princess Noguk", a direct descendant of Kublai Khan 5. the last ruler of Yuan, Toghon Temür (posthumous title "Shun Emperor Huizong" (惠宗順皇帝)), has as his 3rd Empress Consort a woman commonly known as Empress Qi/Ki (奇皇后), a former concubine who was originally a tribute woman of Goryeo. His brother Ki Cheol failed numerous times in his ambition to become king of Goryeo (unseating King Gongmin who had plans to slowly wean itself of Yuan interference) contrary to the most recent dramatization "Empress Ki" (portrayed by Ha Jiwon) and the effusive rose-tinted reviews by international Koreaboo fans blinded by flashy visuals, the drama is basically a "historical distortion", and all 3 lead characters are actually evil people (the titular character is considered a traitor to the Korean race)

@@yokartik probably a diplomatic thing, since apart from Indian & Persian relationships way back in ancient times I have no idea (TL;DR of Indian & Persian relationships in ancient times: India - the kingdom of Geumgwan Gaya (chief state of the Gaya confederacy)'s founding ruler Kim Su-ro married a princess from the State of "Ayuta" (the modern Sino-Korean reading of the transcribed Chinese characters), commonly believed to be Ayodhya, India. She introduced Buddhism into the Korean peninsula, and about 10% of Koreans descend from the couple's 10 sons, 2 of whom took their mother's Koreanized surname of "Heo" Persia 1. an epic called "Kushnameh/Kuš-nāma", where one part details a prince named Ābtin, who in danger sails toward an island country called "Basilā", whose ruler Teyhur warmly receives him. From the description alone (emphasis on having lots of gold, also described by a Persian scholar's almanac) Korean historians realized that it matches the Kingdom of Silla (one of the "Three Kingdoms" during the same-named period). Teyhur then consents to Ābtin marrying his daughter Princess Farārang, and after a dream, Ābtin & Farārang return home, and it is there that Farārang gives birth to a (Persian-Korean) son named Faridun 2. Silla had trade relations with Persia, and some Persian goods are found in some tumuli)

Just a nerdy comment. I heard on a talk (here on YT) from Prof. Hyun Jin Kim of U. of Melbourne, that the Mongol tribes were kinda like a gathering of people who interacted long with each other, be it related or non-related (some being not of Mongol background), and they came together to set off on specific missions such as to gain more range of land or resource gathering or even to settle disputes, but the group would loosen up after that mission ended. The tribe would adopt a name of the mission’s leader as the name for their gathering. Overtime, things got more organized and static, and we get to where we were in history. It’s likely many steppe peoples had this similar development.

Saying them sharing the same ancestry would be more accurate. Some of the tribes in the steppes were of Turkic lieange and spoke Turkic language, such as the Naimans, the Kereits, and the Tatars, and some of their people were absorbed into Genghis Kahn's unified Mongolian state. The Turks here isn't neccesarily refering to the modern-day Turkey by the Mediterranean, but of more ancient peoples residing in Central Asia. Later on, as Mongol Empire went declined, their culture was not superior than the local ones. The Mongols within the territories of Golden Horde and Chagatai Khanate gradually adopted the local Turkic and Islamic culture, eventually becoming the Turco-Mongols. Timur, also known as Tamerlane, was one of them. He was originated from the divided Chagatai Khanate at the time.

i have always been fascinated by the history of the Mongols and have recently found out that though i am not related to them, i am supposedly related to the Song of China, that the Mongols decimated and replaced with their Yuan Dynasty. all Song were supposedly annihilated, the last heir gave up his claim and lived in Tibet ( hoping to stay alive ) but unfortunately was assassinated in the end. however, as there were over 800 members of the Song, many children, and cousins, etc. and doubtful that invaders could keep track of every Song cousin. ( one of the advantages of many wives and concubines ) at any rate, my ancestor supposedly escaped to southern china, to live for many generations.

I don't have a favorite member of the family in particular but i would have to say the familiy's greatest achievement was establishing the Yuan dynasty in China. Imagine how different world history would of been had the Chinese emperor killed Ghengis Khan's great grandfather when he had the chance....
