That's one thing I've never felt from a Canadian tennis player before. That when I watch them, I actually BELIEVE that they can win it all. With every Canadian tennis player in the past, I could only hope they win, but with Genie, while I still hope she wins I also now feel CONFIDENT that she can win. Right now all she needs is abit more refinement and consistency and more experience and she can be a top 5 female player if not number 1 one day. =)

Uzumaki Naruto I agree, and would like to add that for 2014 she is already a top 4 player. This is now three grand slams in a row where she had a SF or better result. I don't know what her ranking will go up to after Wimbledon, but she will definitely be seeded higher than 13 at the US Open.

machineofadream she will be 7th and if she wins Wimbledon on Saturday she will be 5th. The only problem with this is that she has struggled at tournaments outside the GS and she will have so many points to defend next year at GS. If she doesn't start winning at other tournaments and even has one poor performance at a GS next year she will drop like a rock. But not worried about that. Genie is the real deal. I've followed her since her Junior Wimbledon title two years ago. She will be World Number 1 within 2 years Go Genie!!!!

Genie said that Kournikova has 5 GrandSlam victories...although that is technically true all her wins are in Doubles. She has zero singles GrandSlam titles.

I really love her personality she is so confident and she knows what she wants. And she truly believes in her self. She will be one of the best tennis athletes ever. I hope she's going to win Wimbledon this year, she has the mind and the power to do so.
