Good video it was very helpful! I have a question, only one cylinder from my machine goes up and it dosent go down the other cylinder dosent move at all it only stabalizes when i leave the machine off for 3 days what could the problem be? Thanks

Counterbalance valves, are often used in hydraulic systems in the scenario of hydraulic hose failure. They keep the load supported and from crashing down if a hose blows. That is why they are used in boom lifts that support people. The dangerous part for people working on them is if there is weight on the cylinder and the valve is pulled the load will come crashing down. They also can have extreme pressure behind them when removed. Often people will falsely think there is no pressure on the cylinder because the lines are disconnected. Always make sure their is no pressure or weight when removing.
