I use a string mop...give the mop a haircut....now you have an effective and manageable tool..fill the tub with almost hot water...add Dawn...do the shower walls first..then the tub walls...then the tub floor... drain the tub...if you have a hand held shower head rinse with that and wipe dry..if not just wipe with a barely damp rag using very warm water. You can add white vinegar to the solution if that’s your thing.

I used laundry detergent in place of dish soap. It worked! Then again, anything is an improvement to how my bathtub was looking. Thank you for this great trick. 😊

Between Degenerative Disc Disease, Lupus and Crohns, cleaning the shower/tub area is one of the hardest things for me to do. I Love this broom idea. I bought a Clorox scrubbing wand thing that has 3 different brushes to use but honestly, once you put one brush on, to get it off without breaking the thing is impossible! This is my 3rd one and Ive given up. $40 for nothing. This is much easier, cheaper and safer for me. Thank you so much. Im heading to dollar tree tomorrow.

I've been telling people for years to use brooms and mops to clean tubs, cars, and anywhere you cannot reach. For people who are older or cannot bend and twist, using a clean broom or clean mop for just about anything saves a lot of work. At the Dollar Tree you can buy a mop for $1. I also use a heavy duty gripper (reacher) that I bought at Ace Hardware, used for industrial purposes. I grip rags or paper towels and squirt my cleaning solution on them or the surface. I do windows this way so I don't have to climb a ladder. The one I use is about 3 1/2 feet high and I use it also to use paper towels to clean up "oopsies" from my cats or raw material. I have used my gripper over 1,000 times, and it's still going strong. I paid $14 for it about three years ago.

Wow. I actually had the designated tub broom and dawn and vinegar. I had used it before with great results only to have a family member throw up their nose at the vinegar smell. 😠 Because of what you mentioned in this video, this time I used the dawn as a drizzle all over and then splashed some vinegar on it (overall a higher rate of dawn to vinegar) and began brooming. In five minutes a previously kinda gross tub was perfectly clean and the overall scent was just "clean" not, who threw a jar of pickles in here? Bravo!!!

Did not work. My broom is cleaner but not my tub. Just to let you know my bath tub isn't coated with soy sauce. I have real dirt and this did not work. Will have to try another method or use my old scrub brush and elbow grease.

Some time ago I saw another video on using Dawn and vinegar heated up to clean a shower and it worked really well but a short time later a few tiles were loose. I think it messed up the grout. Just be careful with these surfaces

My mom has been cleaning her tub with a broom for years. I thought it was weird, but needed to use the broom after the tub got filthy and my knees hurts. I will never not clean the tub with a broom now. It's so much quicker and easier.

Walmart sells a great vinegar I use for cleaning. It's called White House and it's stronger than their regular cleaning vinegar. Walmart only sells it online.

I'll say coffee. I use my Lipton mop to clean out bathtubs. Then I use my Swiffer dry pad with a cleaning cloth and wipe the walls and ceilings.

Take care not to use really abrasive scrubbers on enamel or plastic surfaces, you can leave scratches, which hold dirt, and destroy the shine. I hope your fancy scrubber is a soft scratcher. In australia we have green 3m scourers which are very good for a lot of things, but responsible for a lot of unshiny surfaces.

We just purchased an acrylic bath tub. You hate not allowed to use any scrubbing brushes or magic eraser. Awesome, I can nonchalantly show this to my D in L😅 - I have a friend that cleans houses after renters leave, she uses oven cleaner, specially, on the really bad ones in bathtubs. But I’ve always wondered if it would harm the bathtub, or the next renters that would , not know about the possible oven cleaner 😮chemicals, fumes being left behind and might damage skin, cause an asthma attack, Or am I overthinking it lol

Sams club has gallon size cleaners that are concentrated. 1 to oz per gallon. Squirt a little dawn in the tub. Then give a scrub with your broom. They are inexpensive about $7.

Use a knit hook thing or one of those things people used to use to pull their hair through a cap to highlight it from Sally Beauty. Get the one with the largest hook and dig that ish out. Works in the bathroom sink too.

(It is really whatever you put in there) go to one of the cleaning channels an look for their formula. And look at what color hers is on the vid. Frankly, I think Dawn is too expensive to use this way. I use Scrubbing bubbles. If you do this, maybe 1-1-4 warm water? And that would be strong. rinse well

Dollar tree sells those brand name magic erasers and I buy cleaning items there. The natural way to clean is use baking soda paste (water and baking soda) and elbow grease to scrub the tub, let it sit for an hour then spray vinegar on it and rinse it off. You can use this mix to clean your oven specifically and on other kitchen and bathroom needs.
