A Persian rug isn’t tufted like what you’re showing, that’s a different carpeting technique. Persian rugs are done by hand and usually woven and hand knotted. A true one is usually only made of really high quality natural materials as well. $2000 is pretty inexpensive if that’s a real Persian rug. I love those melting ones though! You should totally give rug tufting a try yourself😊

We visited a Turkish rug workshop when we visited in 2015 and watched these ladies on the looms was incredible. The wool rugs started around 2k and the ones made of pure silk were about 10x that for bath mat size. They were purely decorative though.

i had several in the house growing up. HIGHLY DONT RECCOMEND!!! The amount of vacuuming was insane and dont get me started on hand cleaning them lol!

The flower painting technique that looks like frosting is a lot of work. A documentary I watched followed an artist who worked in a similar style. It takes days for the paintings to fully dry because of the amount of layers of paint. The technique is beautiful, so it is definitely worth the wait.

My grandma has a hand made stained glass working kaleidoscope. I lost my mind when I found it while dusting 😍 I already love stained glass, but to see it as a useable object that also shows more art when you look through it, was mind blowing 😅
