Fun quilt! I noticed the mistake while you were laying it out and went back to the beginning to see how it was supposed to look. Then I fast forwarded to see if you would notice before you finished. LOL. It is still a very pretty quilt - I like the freshness of the white background. The give away quilt is gorgeous. Very classy. Actually, I would make this quilt with "your mistake" instead of the pattern. The points on the outside match your star points. A much better finish than the "correct" way. When I wrap a package, I often put ribbon around it and then a bow with two tails. I do the tails just like that piece that you put the opposite way - in the orientation just as you did it. I thought that was what you were doing to finish the edge without starting a partial star, and that made perfect sense to me. Love it both ways!

Boy, I really like the way you did it, because I think the “diamonds” overwhelmed the rest of the design too much. Your version blended in well with the overall design and even looked like the ends of a ribbon, which matched the Christmas theme beautifully.
