Who's here to enjoy Donna's fingernails as well as her excellent sewing skills?👍
@vivianpowell17322 жыл бұрын
Donna's creative manicures have inspired me to get back into the habit of taking better care of my nails. I had really let them go during the pandemic, with so much else to worry about. The look that Donna is wearing today is what I have been doing for the last several weeks. I paint a "party nail" using gold glitter polish on both ring fingers, then a regular polish color on the rest of the nails. So far I've used a rusty red, a warm caramel, a rich cherry red, and a very dark color called "Nuit 1947". I love wearing that last color because I was born a few minutes before midnight one night in 1947. This new nail routine has been very uplifting for me. So thanks again, Donna, for nailing yet another inspiration.

I always look forward to seeing what beautiful colors she has on her nails as well as the beautiful colors in her quilt. I love this pattern! Donna never fails me. I love her style of tutorials where she shows us each step and doesn’t do the, “I have done that ahead of time “ . It makes it so personal like it is just the two of us in a room sewing. Thanks Donna!!

I love seeing her nails as much as I love the quilts. DONNA... Tell your nail tech she's got a following of admirers! I've done the accent nails for several years now, I love the creativity of matching colors and adding bling to my manis & pedis.

Doggonit, Donna! Every time I watch one of your videos my "bucket list" grows longer. At this rate I'll need to live to be 197 years old to make every quilt on that list. My sincerest thanks for your contribution to my longevity!

4 layer cakes$$$$! Good thing the pattern is free! But seriously, this is such a beautiful quilt, wonderful color combo, and Donna is so generous with her patterns and amazing FREE KZbin videos. She gives me all the measurements so I could use anything from scraps to yardage. Love those tilty spinning stars, and the colors!

I love your videos! can’t believe I was still up when this one uploaded. I always email the PDFs to my husband to print out since he’s upstairs in his man cave by the printer, and I use my iPad. He brought it down to me this morning and said “really? 1:30am??” We’re still navigating retirement togetherness since I lost my job to Covid last year and took early retirement. He retired a few years before I did. We haven’t spent this much time together since college 🤣🤣

What a lovely pattern - thanks Donna! I panicked slightly when I heard 'partial seam' and would have avoided this if I'd read it in a pattern, but as ever, Donna shows so clearly how to do it and I feel I can try it now! Thanks for all the videos - you have inspired so many of my quilts.

I had the same gut reaction! I was holding my breath as she went through the first block expecting to see some impossible finish but as usual, Donna made it look easy enough for me! This one will go on my "someday list". Thanks Donna!

Beautiful! I Watch you all the time. I have learned so much. I'm 70 yrs old and a beginner quilter. I love the way you teach and it's not scary at all the way you teach. I'm working on my 2nd quilt. The first one I made was 20 years ago. I gave it to my mother in law. She loved it and I am so happy she liked it. So I'm almost done with my second one and I have made so many mistakes, but I'm still loving the experience of creating my own pattern. I've gotten a lot of compliments on it. So thanks for giving me the courage to tackle a quilt again!

This is a great pattern! I think it would be fun to use scraps with a solid for the star points, and then the center square....have to think about it!!. Thanks again Donna....you're the best.
@dorothylabounty82632 жыл бұрын
I don't usually like the four-pointed star, but I really like this one. Your technique is really great. I would make a second small HST by stitching a second line 1/2 inch from the original stitching line. You've got some smaller pieces left over after you cut the layer cake. I'd love to see some smaller project come out of your leftovers, or just salvaged for future scrap/improv piecing.

Donna I love to see new Jordan Fabrics tutorials and this quilt is just beautiful. I have never made a quilt with partial seams. However this doesn't feel intimidating to me so I do believe I could do this one 😁😁. Also I have a queen sized bed an I like a good big bed quilt lol. I measured my bed and I usually customize my quilts to fit how I like it on my bed. This one may be the most expensive quilt I would make for my bed haha. I do the quilt as you go technique and I would probably add a small sashing in between the blocks........I cant wait to make this one.....thanks Donna
