Interpretation Characters : - Este - Confident friend - Unfaithful husband - Este's sister 1- "Este" tells her "confident friend" that she suspects that her husband is being unfaithful. 2- Now he Este disappeared, the "unfaithful husband" reports him to the police, the confidant friend suspects that the "unfaithful husband" killed her, since he is now starting to live with "the lover." The confidant friend does not know how to prove Este's death because without a body there is no crime. 3- The confidant friend kills the unfaithful husband and disappears the body in revenge for Este's death, taking advantage of the fact that the police would have the lover as the main suspect for an insurance policy. The confidant friend's alibi is that Este's sister is willing to testify to the police in favor of the confidant friend. 4- While everyone believes that the lover killed Este's unfaithful husband to collect the policy, the lover does not know how to prove that the confidant friend was the one who killed him because without a body there is no crime.

Fun context, the feature “HAIM” are the haim sisters who are close friends of Taylor, one of them is actually Este (not sure why she drew the short straw and got killed off but yenno), and Este’s sister who swears “she was with me dude” is Danielle Haim. I feel like this song shows off their sense of humour lol, and they’re actually in Taylor’s (self written&directed) music video for “Bejeweled” as the evil stepsisters if you ever check that out.
