I love how David doesn’t just write songs about love like many other artists. I love this song, not only because I’m a Christian, but also because this song hits deep for me. It’s hard to forgive yourself and it’s hard to trust and build your relationship with God. I first listened to this song when I was in a bad mental state. The whole verse is literally about not falling to temptation in a romantic relationship and cheating. I’m a proffessional singer, (though I wish I was better at writing music like him) and I just have to say it’s so refreshing to hear such a soulful, richly toned baritone voice especially from someone around my age.
