I agree, when talking about music she speaks and acts different. Interviewers loose a chance to break down the "genius" when they focus on stupid overdone questions, but this interviewer did quite the opposite. The result was interesting and refreshing, he did amazing :)

@no name a majority of education is done by art, people listen to music in the times where theyre most connected to themselves. Those moments where ones full attention is given to a song, imagination, the most important feature that every human posseses is sparked. Yes, it can be done with books also but music is quicker.. All that to say, when people use music and not just let it play, alot is learned. So beware of what you listen to, you might shift your whole life perspective. Lyrics are basically like someone reading to you, which we all grew up with.

@no name you're right, it's not a substitute but it is a Go-To for a majority. But make no mistake there are alot of artists that "educate" with their music, lessons are best learned when theres a story surrounding it. It all depends on if you're the type to be fed music or go out searching for it

@@zalenahquaddy4354 Well we arent talking about musicianship because the whole world knows Mariah has checked all the boxes! Musically she s the top if not one of the few. However, we are talking about pipes, vocally Celine and Whitney are on the same level with Mariah. Which is quite intersting considering she has something they dont "Whistle register" but they managed to shine. Not disrespecting, but i feel like vocally they all complement each other. Especially in their younger years

I think it's highly known and agreed upon that her voice is THE BEST and unmatched. And her song writing is absolutely phenomenal. So many songs have changed my life and I hold so dear to me. If anyone EVER tries to sleep on Mariah Carey, GO LISTEN TO THE CATALOG. I'll never believe you've listened to and read the lyrics if you ever dispute that she's the best singer/songwriter.
